No the church has not done the dividing. The increasing immorality and depravity in society is not because of Christianity.
Pastor preach sermons every Sunday demonizing Democrats and RINOs. That is how churches divide the country.
The results. Some feel a moral obligation to control other peoples lives.

What does Canada allow churches to do?
Here, churches cannot actively promote partisan speech; A church is allowed to take positions on issues that are important to it and its congregation. Such “issue advocacy” can even touch on topics that are central to a political campaign without running afoul of the rules.
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/charities-churches-and-politics#:~:text=Currently%2C%20the%20law%20prohibits%20political,to)%20any%20candidate%20for%20public
Currently, the law prohibits political campaign activity by charities and churches by defining a 501(c)(3) organization as one "which does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office."
Permitted: Nonpartisan speech
-Providing members of the congregation with nonpartisan information about issues in an election.
-Organizing voter registration drives.
-Hosting candidates as speakers, provided that each candidate on the ballot is given an equal opportunity to participate.
-Holding discussions about the relationship between church doctrine and ballot issues.
The only partisan speech that is allowed to be made by church employees are comments not made in any church facility or in church publications. The comments must include a statement that the opinions being expressed belong only to the individual and are not intended to represent the church.

But they are often caught when they do. Real Christians have a conscience.

Why the bigotry?
Fear of Christians, or rather fear of people who claim to be Christian.
People who want to control other peoples lives with their phoney christianity.

You mean like Democrats? Those are phony Christians I'm more worried about Muslims wanting to convert the entire world through Jihad.

No, I mean republicans who pretend to be christian.

Oh, your right! Democrats are godless. They don't even try to pretend.

Aren’t you the holier than thou one.

A divided house can not stand. The church has divided the state.
There is probably as much immortality among Christians as those who are not.
The state has tried to take over the duties of the church and those duties are unconstitutional but being a liberal you don't care about The Constitution.

I've been gone for nearly a week and haven't kept up with what was/is being posted here. I have to take umbrage with your many accusations against Christians. You have absolutely no knowledge of what real Christianity is. I have to agree there are many people who ARE NOT CHRISTIANS, who like to cloak themselves in it's robes, but wearing the hide of a buffalo does not make you a buffalo.
A Christian is a person whol has understood that they are a sinner and has believed on the work of salvation at the cross by Jesus Christ to forgive him and cleanse him from his sin-guilt. In short, we Christians are FORGIVEN. That doesn't make us perfect; we still sin.
However, at the moment a person puts their faith in Jesus Christ, many things take place. They're 'born again.' They receive the Holy Spirit. They are 'Heaven-bound.' They can either walk in fellowship with the Lord, or sadly, ignore that privilege. When they sin (and they will), they can confess that sin and repent. Or not and live carnally. Unfortunately, this earth always spotlights the Christian failures and rarely our victories. And you judge us harshly.
A\re you without sin that you should be casting stones? Remove the pole in your own eye before you start trying to pull splinters out of other people's eyes.

The same applies to democrats.
Why do you - a foreigner - want to fuel division in my country?

Instead of Russian collusion, do we have to be watchful of Canadian collusion?
Every country wants to fuel division here. Yet more people want to come here than to any other country. Are they envious? We have enough home-grown reprobates who want to destroy this country, yet they won't leave. They would rather kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
