The simple truth of the matter is that Trump was Putin's lap dog. Not only did he ever criticized Putin. In fact he defended Putin all the time. He even called the attack on Ukraine, " genius". Trump was far more critical about the NATO countries than Russia.

So: If President Trump was Putin's "lap dog", why didn't he invade Ukraine while Trump was in office?

He was better off letting trump undermine NATO and continue refusing to give the Ukraine anti tank and air missiles, the smart intelligence has already figured out that the why didn't Putin attack when trump was in office is a non starter.

Trump ended up giving Ukraine lethal weapons. It was Obama who didn't.
