Regrettably, I do not. It was in a biography about Putin and I no longer remember the author's name or title of the work. But I do remember that this author is considered by many as the foremost authority and has done more research than anyone into Putin's life. I think he wrote it in three volumes. Getting old sucks. They say the memory is the second thing to and I can't remember what is the first so this amounts to double jeopardy for me.

Who knows what the real truth is. Historians still argue over this and can't always come to an agreement as new revelations are made. But a lot of what we see and hear in the media immediately raises red flags for me, and much of what we read on OPP doesn't even sound reasonable. It's like being a juror in a trial deciding if something sounds far-fetched or reasonable. Occam's razor.

Yes... Situations are rarely as simple as we'd like them to be...

To clarify an earlier point... There are Chechens fighting with the Russians in the Ukraine...
There is also a battalion of Chechens fighting with the Azov... They fled to Poland and later the Ukraine after they lost the war ...

I understand that they have a great hatred for one another...

I think I can understand why they have such hatred for each other. It's a situation that exists worldwide. Our country seems to be moving in this direction between the political parties.
