Woody didn't write the article...he is simply reposting it for comment. If you don't believe it, don't believe it. But both the left and the right post topic starters...I unashamedly pull from Facebook all the time. It's a topic for debate. Here I think the question is how far does a 'reporter' have to go before he is a traitor to his country?
As for your premises, I disagree with your first one. Maybe Russia doesn't understand why we let our press get away with what they do. Certainly, a shill for Biden wouldn't last very long in Russia. Yes, it does have to do with freedom.
Doesn't matter if some are in it for the ratings: When anyone (government or otherwise) disallow the freedom to print/post absolute BS, then you have the nose of the camel under the tent.
There is already a move by leftoids to ban "disinformation" - of course, disinformation is anything they don't like.
