That would be a hostile action by NATO against the affairs of another nation. Sort of like their invasion/non invasion of Libya. Only this time their actions would be a deliberate hostile confrontation against a nuclear nation. That really could lead to WWIII

We have the power to do so. And the good sense not to. Enforcing a no fly zone would lead to confrontations between our aircraft and Russians. That means escalation, and we don't need that.

proud, In order to enforce a no fly zone, the US would no doubt have to shoot down Russian warplanes. That would dramatically increase the chance of the war spreading to the rest of Europe, and could lead to a nuclear exchange. I don't know if Putin is bluffing or not, but I don't gamble unless I can afford to lose my stakes. I am not prepared for WW111 no matter what. Where there is life, there is hope. Nobody can say if a full nuclear war would leave anything alive on the planet.

We’ve been feeding Ukraine weapons for years let them take some initiative and use what they have. This is not our war.
We can stand in solidarity as necessary and let Ukraine and Russia deal with it. Although I do approve of the measures being taken against Russia for their hostile action.

Absolutely agree with you regarding NATO and yes, we are the majority financer for NATO. What we need to stop doing is putting our men at risk in any of these wars that don’t involve us. Where we are threatened have at it bomb the hell out of them be done with it immediately rather than years of war tho…
