Biden struggles to answer reporter’s Ash Wednesday question on abortion; Dr. Jill comes to the rescue

President Joe Biden was dismissive of a reporter who sought to get him on record with a comment about his support for abortion despite his Catholic faith, refusing to answer the question Wednesday and scurrying away after a timely intervention from the first lady.
The “leader” of the free world, who had drawn raves from Democrats and their shills in the media after Tuesday night’s State of the Union address, was headed across the White House lawn toward a waiting Marine One for a trip to Wisconsin to promote his Build Back Better agenda and had fielded a series of softball questions before the adversarial questioning.
The reporter, Owen Jensen who is the Washington D.C. correspondent for the Catholic Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) and a vocal defender of the right to life for the unborn tried to pin Biden down after another member of the press got the POTUS to confess that he was giving up ice cream for Lent.

Biden: “I'm not going to make a judgement for other people” on abortion. Biden supports taxpayer-funded abortion until the point of birth.

Jensen asked, “Pope Francis is asking for prayers and fasting today for the people of Ukraine on this Ash Wednesday. Pope Francis is asking for prayers and fasting. What’s your reaction to that, sir?”
Biden responded, “I think he’s right. I was with the Cardinal this morning. He came over to give me ashes and we both prayed for that, for the people of Ukraine.”
The newsman followed up, “and last night, you continued to support Roe v. Wade,” referring to Biden’s SOTU remarks, “as a Catholic, why do you support abortion as a Catholic, defying church teachings?”
“Well, I tell you what, I don’t want to get in a debate with you on theology, but, you know… well, anyway,” the president replied as Jill Biden moved in to rescue him,
Jensen persisted, “But why? Why support abortion as a pro-life…”

Declining to answer the question, Biden said, “I’m not…I’m not going to make a… I’m not going to make a judgment for other people.
“If you’re Catholic, why — why defy church teaching?” pressed Jensen, as Biden walked off.
During his big speech, Biden defended the killing of the unborn which is always cloaked as women’s rights by the political left.
“The constitutional right affirmed in Roe v. Wade—standing precedent for half a century—is under attack as never before,” Biden said, a shot at states like Texas that have passed strong pro-life laws and have been savagely attacked by himself and his administration, “If we want to go forward—not backward—we must protect access to health care. Preserve a woman’s right to choose.”

CL: I can not believe that Cardinal Wilton Gregory gave ashes to Biden.

And notice this paragraph; Biden: “I'm not going to make a judgement for other people” on abortion.
Suire, but he has no problem making a judgement for other people on masks, discrimination in hiring, renting, environmentalism and a host of other matters.

He's absolutely correct, it's not his judgment call, nor anyone else's, it's for the person having to struggle with that decision, and no one else.

And, as usual, you're absolutely wrong. The fetus is a human being. To destroy it is homicide.

Let's debate the fetus' humanity Cuda2020. And use science not your opinion.

Why would you be surprised that the cardinal gave him ashes. The Pope told him he could take communion

As usual you are absolutely wrong a fetus is not a human being it is part of mother, it can not survive outside the mother. I loved the fact that you guys complain about a woman deciding what to do with her own body, but I she decides to keep the kid you complain about her being on welfare, maybe the next unwed mother I run into you can adopt her kid

No, it's just the beginning of the story. You can't debate anything because science is on my side.

It is a separate human being. 26 chromosomes.

And don't give me that BS about the kid going on welfare. It's a separate argument.

No it's not, a fetus is a fetus, an embryo is an embryo, neither is a human being yet, also not an individual. I won't debate someone's subjective religious ideologies, it's a waste of time. A woman has the right to her own body, period. If you want to abstract it from a woman and grow a human being in an incubator, you let us know. Otherwise it's the woman's choice, it sure as heck isn't the governments, and if I were you I'd be careful what you're asking for, that's a Pandora's box for sure.
