The unfortunate truth is that we move on the information we have. It would be nice to have perfect information but that's not possible. All intelligent information suggested that Saddam had WMD. All of Obama's inner circle agreed with that. To ignore that would have been stupid.

I think the thing that stands out in my mind is that George Tenet, Bush's CIA director was the one person most responsible for the alleged misinformation about the weapons of mass destruction and was honored with the medal of Freedom by Bush. That medal is the highest civilian medal and honor for great service to America that we have. Why was Tenet awarded this honor since he was the one who got the intelligence completely wrong and caused us to invade Iraq on false intelligence?

Thals a fact but doesn't fit the liberal story line, it's so much easier to blame Bush. Fact is we had bad intelligence (both sides of the isle). Common sense played a big part as Saddam had used chemical weapons in the past.

A great example of hearing what you want to hear and disregarding the rest. This is called the confirmation bias and it is a major reason we think and do dumb and self destructive things.
Yes, liberals are guilty of this, also, but some people don't believe two wrongs make a right. Confirmation bias is a fundamental human characteristic. Can we control it in ourselves so that it doesn't continue to control us or will we allow this fatal flaw to destroy us?
