The media continues to lie about Trump's response to the Jan 6th riot.

Trump was posting tweets very early on as the riot began. The media continues to lie that Trump didn't respond pointing out that he didn't do a video address for more than three hours after it started.

Well, DUH, the rioters did not have TV's attached to their heads, they had phones and they watched Trump's tweets; it was the preferred form of communication Trump used to address his base and dispel the lies of the left and the media. Had he only done a TV address, it would have been a much longer time for the rioters to get the message to be peaceful and support the Capital Police, would it not??

The gas lighting left knows no bounds; there are no limits to their lies.

Trump didn't call in any reinforcements for three hours.
Days before the insurection, the National Guard was called up. The Police departments of Washington DC, Alaxandrea, Arlington and other suburbs were on alert and they had a plan if things went south. The first thing I noticed was that some of the croud at Trumps speach was dreassed for combat. If I was in charge, I would have immedatly called up the National Guard, and the near by police departments, as the croud was cruseing for a bruseing. It takes aprox 20 minuits to walk from the White House to Congress, pleantly of time for alerted PDs to act.
The next thing i noticed is that the Capitol police didn't use any tear gas. When the BLM protesters were in front of the White House, it was heavily used. I also noticed that there were very few Capital police.
The thing that was totally horrifying was nothing was done for more than 3 hours. Trump did nothing to prevent the storming of the Capitol. I think this was his last ditch effort to overthrow our government.

https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/tweets-january-6-2021 Trump was Tweeting to his supporters a half hour after the riots got violent. Trup suggested having more National Guard on hand long before Jan 6th. And it isn't like he could have gone on TV and got a message to the rioters like that. They weren't watching TV as they were rioting but they did have their cell phones.

You need to fill in your ignorance with a bit of research on exactly what has been covered about when, where, and how he spent the three hours of the "mostly peaceful protest"...as the right is gaslighting, speaking of gaslighting.

You are going to endlessly rant a rave about the dozens if not hundreds of people that end up indicted for the crime of conspiring and aiding in a conspiracy to overturn the election, never having taken the time to try to understand how it is that the law reads on their crimes...your head being full of your misconceptions on how they were patriots and somehow fighting for democracy when they were fighting to bring democracy down.

That tweet never happened, the guard was delayed because trump did not want them attacking "his" supporters

I posted a link to all his tweets of before, during and after. Look for yourself. And keep the talk of ignorance to yourself.

That's true, he wanted the guard there to protect his supporters as they demonstrated. Either way, he suggested and asked for the national guard to be there prior to the riot.

I guess he figured all those ANTIFA/BLM rioters of the past summer might show up.
