Murder? Self defense? A citizen arrest gone wrong?
Travis McMichael; his father, Gregory McMichael; and neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan are accused of pursuing Arbery in separate pickup trucks on Feb. 23, 2020, through the Satilla Shores neighborhood where they lived in Brunswick, Georgia. Travis McMichael shot Arbery, 25, with a shotgun at close range.
Defense says; the defendants suspected that Arbery was a burglar and that they were attempting to carry out a citizen’s arrest, which was legal at the time. They also contend that Travis McMichael shot Arbery in self-defense.

If someone is holding a shotgun on you, you don’t want to grab the barrel AND PULL! A serious “accident” is going to happen.
Clearly a case of suicide or MONUMENTAL STUPIDITY!

Arbury viciously attacked McMichael, in an obvious attempt to take (steal) McMichael's shotgun, and failed.
Arbury's death was clearly the result of his own Terminal Stupidity, he died while committing a violent felony.

Are we looking at another win for self defense? I watched Kyle's trial and missed most of this case, I will try to catch up tonight, but from closing arguments, I would agree with self defense.

When Arbury crossed in front of the pick-up, attacked McMichael and grabbed his shotgun,
it did in fact become a case of self defense. Arbury attempted to commit an act of "strong arm robbery", a felony,
and thus enjoyed no legal protections.
