Why do you believe what you believe? Do you earnestly research it, play Devil's Advocate by honestly looking to prove the opposing side?
What we believe is basically who we are, so I feel that it is vital that we take extreme care in establishing our truth. Whether or not you think that I do that (which is not the topic), I thought hearing from both sides on how they come to ascertain their core tenets and opinions. From over seventy years of existence, I have regrettably found the vast majority give little care and attention to actually formulating what is true for themselves through investigation and an open mind. Lockstep Group-think--in politics, religion, and other organizations--too often prevail even against credible evidence to the contrary. I would cite some present day examples but this thread is neutral in that regard. There is nothing to hate here or attack so it might not invoke any interest. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, perhaps a value we all share. Maybe.

We are overly fond of alternative facts. When one is helpless to order the world to one's liking, one simply creates that world in one's own mind - then defends it's borders with a vengeance.

In fact, it’s so good, I intend to save it and repost it often!
Did you actually compose the post yourself?

No, no, thank you.
So, you’re proud of fabricating alternative facts (lies). Then, dreaming about them.
Nice….real nice.
