Jesus Himself said when He went up to heaven the apostles would be His ambassadors to teach the people what He was teaching but to a greater degree because His ministry only lasted 3 years.So yes Jesus was talking thru Paul.

ALL sins are mortal....unless cleansed with the Blood of Christ. Committing sin in your life in unavoidable. Accepting them and embracing them is a different matter.

Mortal sin? Venial sin? NOWHERE that I know of is sin divided into two separate groups like that. ALL sin, including our sin natures by themselves, were the reason Christ went to the cross. He was (and remains) without sin in every respect. No one else in history can make that claim. Being perfect God and perfect man, He had the dimensions to take on ALL our sin at the cross. For God so loved the world . . . that includes you, Kemmer, that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. IF, at any point in your life, you've believed on the Son, than that ONE THING would define you as a born-again Christian.

Paul said Jesus was due back any minute so people shouldn’t marry unless they were pretty horny. Or words to that effect. He also said women should keep their mouths shut in church. Tell that to the former Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church.

Milosia, Kevyn, Moldyoldy, and others on the left seem to fully believe that they know exactly what Trump and other conservatives are thinking and intending at all times, and judge them NOT on their words and deeds but on what Milosia et al judge their intentions to be.
And here YOU are, trying to leave the impression that you are a believer, a church goer, and knowledgeable about the Bible, but yet you are legalistically "nitpicking" the Word of God to try and justify your actions and the known sin in your life.
You are ignoring that God really DOES know you heart, your mind, and your innermost motivations and intentions. You should bear that in mind as you seek to metaphorically argue that shooting an innocent is not a sin because the Bible does not directly say anything about guns. You should realize that you do not need to convince US....you are going to have to convince HIM. Good luck with that.

Ok Paul was teaching what Jesus said. No one knows but the Father when Jesus would return.So be ready it could be today.And Paul said if staying celibate was easy for a man they could devote themselves to full time ministry ( no family to be focused on just fully Jesus.) But if they couldn't then get married so they don't sin.(Obviously refering to adultery and fornication which are sins and encouraged not to do.)As they represent Christ to unbeliever making some doubt their sanctity in what they were preaching.And back in that era women were like cattle with no rights.Much like the Muslims today.There were women in the biblical time of Jesus who had bible studies but they weren't allowed to instruct a flock.
