Jury Duty Summons.

Let this one sink in......

Last year 449,163 Californians received a jury duty summons to which they declined,

using the "I am not a citizen, therefore I cannot sit on a jury" provision;

The source for jury duty summons candidates is the VOTER REGISTRATION list.

Think about that for a minute.

One of the primary sources courts use to summon jurors is the voter registration list. The other is the state Department of Motor Vehicles’ list of licensed drivers and identification card holders in the area served by the court. Noncitizens, such as lawful permanent residents, can get driver’s licenses. As of 2015, undocumented immigrants in California can, too. So it follows that noncitizens — both lawful permanent residents and undocumented immigrants — would be summoned for jury duty as courts tap potential jurors from DMV data.

Uh….little confused here. “Noncitizens” cannot vote. There is no such thing as a “permanent resident” who is a “noncitizen”….that person would be LIVING IN THIS COUNTRY ILLEGALLY…and, for sure, NOT eligible to vote!

A "Permanent Legal Resident" is practically a citizen. PLRs can legally purchase firearms from a licensed FFL dealer.

“PLRs”? REALLY? Using this logic: I am (practically) the Majestic Exalted Ruler of the Western World…because it’s been this way for a lifetime.

See how that works? There’s no law making me the MERWW…and just because I say so, doesn’t make it so.

BTW, have you ever purchased a firearm? Purchasing a gun from an FFL and lying on the background form, would land you in federal prison! Therefore, the gun was NOT PURCHASED LEGALLY! Where did you get this idea? (The FFL would spend some prison time too.)

Were you being facetious with your post? Or, trying to “blow some smoke” up…….?

So, you think it's cool for a non-citizen, in our country illegally, who may be illiterate, may be a criminal, can't speak English, and has no Constitutional protections should sit on a jury in a trial in which an accused American citizen is protected by the 6th amendment?

Because those illegal aliens in California have been voting for several years. Especially during Nov. Nov. 3, 2020, election that made Biden win by FRAUD! Biden now is a Socialist -Marxist who confiscates assets of people who've struggled, worked, and saved. Except is own stolen wealth is exempt. Biden is a thief and a crook!

In California I believe non-citizens CAN vote in local elections. They are not supposed to be able to vote in national elections...but

How do they get a ballot? You can't just fill out any loose ballot that happens to be laying around, your name needs to be on a voter registration roll.

My experience with Mexicans that can legally vote is that they don't, for one thing they have a phobia for all things official and government. they are all about staying as low key and under the radar as possible.

I did not say that non citizens should serve on a jury. I said that as well as voter registration list, DMV records are also used to issue summons for jury duty. You put a nice spin on it, though.
