There is a against this . However as with all laws now , they are meaningless, the same as the constitution is now meaningless.

Very, very disappointing! Even with that asshole at Fox, I still believe we WILL win..

While I pay little attention to any of the news media in this country fox is running a little scared because Newsmax has given them an occasional run for their money and a bit of grandstanding hoping to bring in more of the CNN imaginary journalist a way to up their ratingsā€¦

None of them worth watching and this a prime example of whyā€¦ Cā€™est la vieā€¦.

I do not know if he did or not. Too much speculation on what went down, what was covered up, what was destroyed etc. What I can tell you is it wonā€™t make a difference anyway given what weā€™ve seen take placeā€¦

I said this repeatedly but I will say it to you as well. There needs to be a standardized operating voting machine, made in the United States, verified by a United States source such as Price Waterhouse, certified before the election begins and certainly after the votes are tallied. No announcement made until it is in fact certified and all documents used in filing your vote must be retained not discarded or destroyed for at least two years. While we have this rule we see just in Maricopa county own admission how they did not abide by it. So that question remains unanswered and always willā€¦

Doubt...

The change to the Constitution merely allows an individual to serve more than two terms as president... If they secure the necessary votes...

The American Constitution used to work that way... Before it was changed... Is this one of the tamperings you agree with??? Or are you enraged that your Constitution was changed???

BEIJING -- The Chinese Communist Party's top policy-setting body is expected to discuss long-term plans, the likes of which have not been seen in a quarter-century, at the plenary session that began Monday.

China's official Xinhua News Agency reported the start of the fifth plenum of the 19th Central Committee, which is scheduled to run through Thursday. Officials will discuss not only the country's 14th five-year plan starting next year, which is typical for the fifth plenum after each twice-a-decade party congress, but also -- more unusually -- targets for 2035.

China watchers see it as laying the groundwork for President Xi Jinping to stay in office for years to come.

This will mark the first appearance of 15-year plans at a plenum since the 1995 gathering presided over by then-General Secretary Jiang Zemin, which set both economic and defense goals for 2010. The latter are seen as a factor in why Jiang stayed on as chairman of the Central Military Commission, which oversees the People's Liberation Army, for nearly two years after Hu Jintao succeeded him as party leader in 2002.

This time around, Xi may use such long-term planning "as a steppingstone toward staying in office for the long run," a diplomatic source in Beijing speculated.

As an approximate halfway point to the 100th anniversary of the founding of modern China in 2049, 2035 has become a focal point for planning under Xi. The government has laid out economic plans and development goals with an eye toward that year.

Michael Hirson, practice head for China and Northeast Asia at Eurasia Group, wrote in a note Friday that the plenum will mark the introduction of "China's most geopolitical five-year plan" to date, reflecting Xi's drive to increase Chinaā€™s self-reliance in terms of demand as well as supply. He called the 2021-2026 five-year plan as "best thought of as the first five years in a 15-year agenda," as Xi seeks to stay in power after 2022.

"In the pre-Xi era, the fifth plenum was part of the process of transitioning to the next generation of leadership," Hirson said, noting that the implementation of the five-year plan would fall on the next leader. "But Xiā€™s ambitions to stay on for a third term in 2022 have changed the role and significance of this meeting," he said.

China watchers are keeping an eye out for high-level appointments at this week's gathering that could signal an upcoming transfer of power. Back in 2010, Xi's status as leader-in-waiting was cemented with his selection as vice chairman of the Central Military Commission at the 2010 plenum.

Typically, based on the unwritten rule that top Communist Party officials step down at the next once-in-five-years party congress after turning 68, Xi would be expected to cede leadership at the 2022 meeting, when he will be 69. Yet no likely successors emerged at the last party congress in 2017.

Should this state of affairs continue at the fifth plenum, that would indicate that Xi is angling to stay in power beyond 2022.

Jiang and Hu both stepped down after two five-year terms, as required by the constitution. But the charter was revised in 2018 to eliminate presidential term limits, opening the door to a third term for Xi.

The plenum will wrap up Thursday with recommendations for the five-year program and longer-term goals. Based on past precedent, it is likely that only an outline will be made public that day, with the full text and Xi's explanation released several days later. The numerical targets that market watchers are waiting for are expected to be included in the full version.

My information was accurate... And you have access to the internet if you doubt what I stated...

I agree, Xi is a superb leader.. And much smarter than any of his counterparts in the West (excluding Putin)... It's doubtful that we will pull together in time to prevent a China dominated globe...

China has approved the removal of the two-term limit on the presidency, effectively allowing Xi Jinping to remain in power for life.

The constitutional changes were passed by the annual sitting of parliament, the National People's Congress.
The vote was widely regarded as a rubber-stamping exercise. Two delegates voted against the change and three abstained, out of 2,964 votes.
China had imposed a two-term limit on its president since the 1990s.
But Mr Xi, who would have been due to step down in 2023, defied the tradition of presenting a potential successor during October's Communist Party Congress.
Instead, he consolidated his political power as the party voted to enshrine his name and political ideology in the party's constitution - elevating his status to the level of its founder, Chairman Mao.
On paper, the congress is the most powerful legislative body in China - similar to the parliament in other nations. But it was widely believed that it would approve what it was told to.

Analysis by Stephen McDonell, BBC China correspondent in Beijing

It is now hard to see Xi Jinping being challenged in any way whatsoever.

He has amassed power the likes of which has not been seen since Chairman Mao Zedong.

Only five years ago Beijing was being ruled by a collective leadership. Under ex-President Hu Jintao you could imagine differing views being expressed in the then nine-member Politburo Standing Committee.
There was a feeling that Mr Hu needed to please various factions within the Communist Party and it seemed that every 10 years a new leader would come along with their own people in a process of smooth transition.
From today all this has gone.

The constitution has been altered to allow Xi Jinping to remain as president beyond two terms and they would not have gone to this much trouble if that was not exactly what he intended to do.
There has been no national debate as to whether a leader should be allowed to stay on for as long as they choose. Quietly but surely Xi Jinping has changed the way his country is governed, with himself well and truly at the core.
