I pay so much tax it ruins a whole week at a time..

I do also send to a few charities.. few are the same each year.. Breast cancer is the exception. fund me pages depending on weather I know the person.. childrens hospitals. St. Judes, Shriners and boys town, which will no longer get anything. Salvation army pretty consistently.. . I was hosed by a so called police fund and the most disappointing of all was the wounded warrior scam some years ago. they may have cleaned up, commercials are back on.. but it was so effective back a few years, then I found nearly all went to the owners and only a select few got aid and they were intended for more commercials.

Do you find this as being one more of the things that must be all or none, black or white, right or wrong??
Why do you feel so much must be all or nothing??

Oh, I will add hurricane relief, but that was long ago.. in the shrub era..

Why do you think people, me in this case can not pay taxes and also give to selected charities..

I will add that I do not give much, my amount is not ever going to make or break any group.. I only gives me a small amount of satisfaction that I have done a very little bit for something that I felt is important..

I opened the patio door the other morning at 4 am and a cold blast hit me in the face and froze my eyelashes! LOL! I immediately shut the door and ran to my trunk and dug out my longhandles and toboggan! The long winter had begun! It was 53 degrees! Brrrrrrr! My goodness, it may beat last year’s record and freeze more than once this winter, if that’s any indication!

For now, all is well….it’s a perfect fall day in lower Alabama at a balmy 78 degrees, but it was too windy and the water too rough to get to the spot my husband and son wanted to fish………maybe tomorrow, my son will be here a week! LOL! 🤗

Love the way you put all that together.. just as I was imagining a fire place in Texas , you reveal the LA location.. I once knew a fellow who allways talked of being from LA.. he seemed far to level for that, then one day he disclosed.... Lower Alabama.. Loved the short tab from then on..

Great to have sons with.. and fish.. are you able to go out on the deep water of the gulf? that would be so much fun..

We got a kick out of the LA line when we first moved here 2 years ago! We had intended to do a lot more exploring the neighboring states, but COVID changed everything! Fishing is about all we’ve done. I don’t go on the “far” jaunts, I have a terrible problem with seasickness……AND, I really don’t like being too far from land! 🤗 Otherwise, I love to fish. It’s been a lot of fun to spend these 2 years of total retirement with my husband and lots of memories made with our kids, grandkids, and great grandkids when they came to vacation land, as they call it! LOL!
