I believe George Reeves, the original was the best. I never missed an episode when I was a kid.

Clark Kent was the best Superman
Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound. Look up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Superman. Yes Superman, strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Superman. Who could change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and who disguised as Clark Kent fights a never ending battle for truth, justice, and the American Way.
I tried to do the intro from memory. I am ashamed to say I didn't make it. I had most of it, but when I checked what I wrote originally I had left out " Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound. " They will kick me out of the Superman fan club.

Oh yes marketing genius.....Something that connects with one tenth of one percent of the population. Throw in some bleeding heart lib's and you have an American icon hero still going down in financial flames.

Don't worry about it. You can come join the BatMan friends, and we have a lot of fun even though we are really batty.
I thought it was "in a single bound" not "at a single bound" but it is the thought that counts.

You are correct Sir. Normally nobody checks my accuracy. The Leftists I deal with are not smart enough, but you, you Superman die hard fans are a tough crowd. Remind me not to take you on in political conversations.

I made that comment to be helpful, not as an insult, glad you took it that way.

In reality, I am neither a Superman nor a Batman follower. However, if I can find a few old Mad Magazines I can enjoy a real laugh or two.

https://babylonbee.com/news/aquaman-comes-out-as-even-gayerATLANTIS—Emboldened by Superman coming out as gay last week, Aquaman has also come out of the closet as even gayer than before.
"It's time for me to come clean," said Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman. "For a long time, I've been known as a gay superhero famous for galavanting about with Aqualad on our fancy seahorses, but I'm actually gayer than people realized and It's time for me to admit how insanely gay I am."
Sources say that most ocean life, such as whales, dolphins, and fish, knew the full extent of Aquaman's gayness but kept it a secret out of respect for Aquaman, and also because fish can't speak English.
"I'm way gayer than Superman. For a long time, you all knew I was gay, but I'm really more like 27 gay men trapped in one gay man's body," Curry continued. "I'm so glad I can finally live publically as my totally gay self for all to see."
DC Comics confirmed that Aquaman is indeed the gayest of all the superheroes, who are also all gay.

I watched superman at my Aunt's home in the 1960s. I lived in a city where we had no cable and could only get the stations over the air. My Aunt could get the New York channels over cable, and they had superman, chiller theater, double chiller theater, and a lot of other cool crap I couldn't get at home. I memorized the superman opening theme by accident. I simply heard it so often.
I think that for it's time and limited budget it was done extremely well. It looks even better if you look up what came before it. I researched it on a slow day. The previous superman incarnation had a cartoonish special effect when superman flew. The curious thing is this.
That previous and more primitive production had Noel Neil as Lois Lane. In the later George Reeves show, Phyllis Coates played Lois Lane for one season. When she left, Noel Neill replaced her. I think Ms Coates was sexier, but Ms. Neill I liked a little better.
If you want to see how bad things were in production quality previously check out this Batman clip from 1943.

Did "Snidely Whiplash" say something about the "Democratic Forces of Evil" in that clip?

Ah you are talking villains dressed in black. My favorite is Boris Badinov. He will get moose and squirrel one day. He did have a sexy sidekick Natasha. We are all like Boris. Joe Biden is our Fearless Leader. Even Fearless Leader answers to Mr. Big. Mr. Big is either Chinese President Xi or Russian Leader Putin, depending on the day of the week.
