For 1 example, Chicago Illinois has enough ilegal fire arms to a tractor trailer many times over, and yet the agencies that would have the authority to do just that, looks away every minute of every day.
They also turn their heads away from the drugs on the streets. I like this post of yours, but as you can see America 🇺🇸 has failed it's people to the point of ruination...

How would
Subject X know
Citizen A had an unlicensed firearm?
Only if
Citizen A told
Subject X he had an unlicensed firearm, or if
Subject X had access to LE and/or ATF records. Neither of which would have a record of an unlicensed firearm.
California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and District of Columbia require registration of certain types of firearms.
Hawaii and DC require all firearms be registered.
Illinois requires a permit to purchase.
The remaining 42 states do not require registration of any type of firearm.
43 states allow open carry.
Gun registration is not the same thing as a firearm license.
The only licenses pertaining to firearms are the Federal Firearm Licenses required to sell firearms or to own assault weapons (as in machine guns), and a license (permit) to carry concealed.
