With that said, we do know some ethnic groups are more susceptible. With the new strand people who have been vaccinated can get it but *don't* wind up in the hospital, not to mention people on immune therapy medication. My young and healthy son and his wife were vaccinated, flew out of the country for their honeymoon and caught covid, I thank God he *was vaccinated* and did not wind up in some foreign hospital out of the country, alone. He had to stay there until he was cleared. Here in the states if you've been around anyone with covid, you have to quarantine at least two days after you've been tested because it can take at least that long before it shows up. That country didn't do that, they had her leave, she no sooner got home and the next day had covid, which means she was on the plane with it. This is how things keep falling through the cracks and keep on going. I also think they should start labeling what covid you've had contact with for better record keeping.

My aunt and uncle BOTH had it about a month before the news broke. He sells mining equipment and goes to Asia through Seattle usually, which is where Covid first was diagnosed at Evergreen hospital.

They were sick a few days, thinking they had a cold, and got over it.

When the news broke they had themselves tested and they found antibodies.

Now I know the PCR test they've used this whole frelling time can't actually tell the difference between Covid, the flu and a cold and they won't have one that can until December according to the CDC.

Do you realize how many people may have been misdiagnosed because of this?

The next conclusion is the case numbers have to be way off. There's no logical way to get around that.

If the case numbers are off the death numbers are off.

Don't yell at me. This is just math. Physics. Every bit as real as gravity or your bank account.

I know several people who got covid. Five had no symptoms, only found out later they had it. One friend was in the hospital for weeks and recovered. Another had it attack her colon and she almost died from blood clots and bleeding in the covid ward. She still has problems with memory and fatigue, but her colon has improved greatly. I also know of two friends who died from it. So, we all may have different responses. The Delta seems to be more contagious and lethal, but it appears to be less severe with vaccinated people. To me, it seems clear that the vaccine helps.

I haven't had a cold in 20 years. I haven't had a flu in 50 years. Never a flu vaxx, either.

I'm reasonably sure, given my experience and exposure...

(...because I spent years living and working in Dutch Harbor in close contact with people from all over the world...

...prison twice with people from all over the western hemisphere...

...lived and worked at the Salvation Army for 3 years...

...worked at a dairy...in Florida. That place was a muddy excrement hole!...

...worked at a sewage treatment plant built in 1939. It had an Imhoff tank which is an indication of the technology of the time...)

...that I'm naturally resistant to coronavirus and rhinovirus.
