Why do you keep. Opting for republicans??
Simple, because they, at least outwardly claim to be upholding constitutional values.
Leftists, on the other hand, constantly and deliberately take specific actions towards tearing down the rights that are secured for us by the Constitution. Latest case in point is Joe Biden's unconstitutional attempts, first to enforce compliance with the vaccine, and second to allow the IRS access to all banking transactions. If you were a true American at heart, you would be outraged.
These actions betray a fundamental lack of understanding AND lack of appreciation for the rights of individuals that are granted by GOD and merely "protected" by the Constitution. If Biden, and from what I can see most leftists these days, truly appreciated the Constitution (which he is sworn to uphold, not transform), then he wouldn't even propose making such unconstitutional infringements upon our GOD given rights. Therefore, he is taking the place of GOD and supposing that it is in his power and authority to give or take away our rights.
At least conservative politicians attempt to retain our rights. But too many of them are enamored by the power of their positions. That, and they are coerced to conform, or they can't be put on high committees. I believe it was Ron Paul of all people who admitted this, or his son Rand, I'm not sure.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult.
To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.” ― C.S. Lewis, God in the Dock: Essays on Theology (Making of Modern Theology)
Maybe you leftists appreciate being "classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals", but conservatives absolutely do not!
