Capt...if it's any comfort just know that alot of us feel the sadness you feel about this great loss. The world is now in free fall.It will just get worse until God is completely fed up and there are no others who will choose to seek Him. When only those who are evil are left He will come and put an end to all this hell. A new start when we will all love each other after living thru this filth and
remember what abandoning God was like.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

With our faith in Jesus, the Holy Bible and the strength of prayer, we can overcome the sons of disobedience.

Trump cut your taxes, but I wager you don't work so you got nothing. Biden is going to tax your ass off. Trump made us produce so much oil we sold some to others. Biden shut down our pipeline so now Biden is bagging Sude to pump more oil, now that is dumb. On top of all that, Mr dumber then a rock tells no one he is pulling all military out
of Afghanistan in 10 minutes. If Trump is cancer, Biden is EBOLA.
So, now I wager only you would vote for any Dummiecrat. You should change your name to Alfred Neuman, we maybe not, he was smarter than you.

The America I was born into is not the America of today and sadly, I’m convinced that for some reason, I was born at this time in history, to witness the death of America I was born into.

The America I was born into still had many of the foundational principles that our Founding Fathers established. To start with, America was a republic, not a democracy, and was never intended to be. The difference between the two has been totally lost on many Americans today. What’s the difference? A republic is where the people elect leaders to do the bidding of the majority of the people. A democracy is where the people elect leaders who rule and dictate over them. A republic is a free nation whereas a democracy is the first step towards socialism.

Secondly, the America I knew was one where the majority of the people ruled, not a whining perverted minority like today. Politicians, for the most part, did what the majority of their constituents wanted them to do, not what a few minorities demanded.

Thirdly, The America I knew still adhered to many of the biblical and Christian principles and laws that our Founding Fathers believed were important. Did you know that our Founding Fathers quoted from the Bible eight times more than from any other book or document?
Today, many of those biblical and Christian principles and laws have been abandoned due to catering to liberal anti-biblical self-centered, hedonistic minorities.

Fourth, the America I knew was patriotic and proud, not ashamed and turning to globalism instead. The American flag was allowed anywhere in this country, not banned from schools, people’s homes,s or mailboxes. It wasn’t trampled upon or defaced without repercussions. Everyone stood for the playing of the National Anthem because it stood for something good and great and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by every kid in school.

Fifth, the America I knew respected other people. We respected other’s property and their person. It wasn’t uncommon for people to leave their cars and front doors unlocked at night. It was safe for kids to play outside and walk to school, a park, or the store.

Sixth, in the America I knew, gay meant being happy, pride was how you felt about an accomplishment, achievement, about your parents, and America. Marriage was one man and one woman. Anything else was adultery. Living together or having sex before marriage was fornication. Murders and traitors were executed, not elected to office. Illegal aliens were deported, not given the keys to the city, and more benefits than American citizens.

Lastly, our nation’s history, the bad and the good were important to everyone. Historic monuments were viewed upon as reminders of bad and good times. Families used to travel on vacation to visit many historic places, Union and Confederate. No one looked upon these historic monuments and places as being symbols of racism, but as reminders to the many men and women who sacrificed themselves during one of our nation’s darkest times.

Today’s America has turned away from everything that it was founded on. Biblical and Christian principles have been rejected. Marriage is no longer one man with one woman. Sex outside of marriage is deemed acceptable to many. The American flag, National Anthem, and Pledge of Allegiance are despised and seen as symbols of oppression. It’s no longer safe to let our children play outside unattended or to walk anywhere away from their homes.

The cancer of liberalism has spread too far to save our America. After the way so many have reacted to the election of Donald Trump and now after Trump dared to speak the truth about who was responsible for the violence in Charlottesville, I truly believe that we are witnessing the dying gasps of the America I knew.
Only God can save America, but why would He after our nation have turned our back on Him?

Sadly, I have to agree with you. We are witnessing a sea change in America and it's going in the wrong direction. No matter how much God fearing, right thinking, red blooded Americans fight the change, it seems almost hopeless at times. I live in California where until recently, it looked like conservative talk show host Larry Elder might actually unseat incumbent, hard lefty governor Gavin Newsom.
But the tide had changed in the last few weeks and it's appearing that Newsom is gradually pulling ahead. Bernie, Elizabeth Warren and now even Biden is coming out to campaign for Newsom. Hollywood, all the mainstream media and Big Tech are all solidly behind Newsom, who basically caters to the rich and famous.
In the big picture, I guess it's predictable. When asked when he would return Jesus told his followers of all the signs to look for. And you've nailed it, especially in your third and sixth paragraph, and also in your summary. Then he told them the parable of the fig tree. Essentially saying that he would return in that generation when Israel became a nation again. Let's see, after almost 2,000 years Israel became a nation again in 1948. So how long is a generation? Whatever the answer, we're mighty close today. And only Jesus will be able to beat back the forces of evil which appear to have overtaken the whole world, even as America grasps at the few remaining straws, holding out as the last best hope for mankind on earth. Once America falls, there's no place left to hide. Satan will truly possess the world.
I continue to fight, esp the Newsom recall. But I'm also aware of the big picture. So I don't want to wear myself out fighting battles which are irretrievably lost.

What would Jesus do with refugees from war-torn countries, may I ask?

Oh, a generation is about 20 years. So from 1948 to now has been about 4 generations. How close to that 2nd coming is 3 generations late?

Religious people crack me up. Many are fine and kind. But those on OPP seem to be kooks of a feather. Xenophobic.

Actually your wrong a generation is actually 40 years. And I believe Jesus would say verify that they don't come in to harm people. Jesus is not stupid.

Actually generations in the Bible are 70 and 120 years. So sorry to bust your little bubble but 20 years is way off. So far biblical prophecies have proven to be 100% accurate. So go ahead and take your best shot to disprove this one.
And I don’t even consider myself to be a particularly religious person. I don’t go to church. Maybe I am in Cali where people pride themselves on being secular. And I also make it my business to know what’s happening. And the signs are there for all to see as the original poster pointed out.
Unless you’re one of those with eyes who can’t see and ears that can’t hear.

History is repeating itself. What happened in Russia in 1917 is now happening in America. Only difference is that there was no Czar to murder. Sixty-six million people died during that revolution. America will lose nearly 4 times that number. We should've paid more attention!!
