Regardless of if you are for or against the jab, this article has a reasonable viewpoint.

Yeah, that's an interesting article, thanks for the link. Personally, I've gotten vaccinated. I haven't had any side effects from the vaccine. As a note, I also got the flu vaccine every year. I didn't like being forced to get it, I was in the military at the time so I didn't have a choice. At first, my wife refused the flu shot till she caught the flu & got extremely sick. We've both gotten it ever since. But I recognize that many make the personal choice not to get vaccinated. That's ok except when a person's choice puts others at risk, i.e. measles etc. There's a lot of mis-information concerning both covid & the vaccine. The cause of the virus and the vaccine are so complicated understanding is beyond the capability of all but a few to understand, so it's easy to see why many distrust the experts. I think the many poster that constantly rant about how unsafe the vaccine is or that the virus is no worse than the common cold (this is you acp45 & DrLarry with your dumb jab remarks) do a disservice to others. Everyone should talk to their own healthcare provider for the safest & best information. This is the person (hopefully an MD) that will guide you when you become sick. By way of disclosure, I've never advocated for others on OPP to get vaccinated.

Good post, I agree, talk to your own doctor. We are doing America a disservice by allowing people who have a "vested" interest in the vaccines to speak nationally on the subject. This includes politicians including Fauci. Citizens no longer no who or what to believe, in one breath we're told to mask up and get vaccine while at the same time allowing thousands of people who are not vaccinated or waring mask to enter our country. What is the logic in that and why would I believe that our Government has "our" best interests at heart. Doesn't add up!

I agree. i am not at all opposed to vaccinations....except this one, and only because it has not been PROVEN safe, and it is untried and untested (long term) new technology. Nevertheless, both myself and my wife took the jab for exactly what you are talking about. Underlying medical issues, age, and on the advice of our doctor. I am absolutely opposed to my children or grandchildren taking it until it has been proven safe for long enough....say in another 20 years or so. Each individual and family must make their own choices. Condemning others for their choices is one choice that deserves condemnation.

While we don't often agree, I absolutely agree with your post, especially the last sentence.

Thank you. Reasonable people CAN have civil disagreements. It's not always easy, but worth while when it happens.

Absolutely correct, Randy. Because of partisan self-preservation, the entire mob on the left would NOT admit errors were made. We get that...this was/is an unknown disease. If the fauci person EVER, at ANY time, came to the podium with his hat in his hand, and said "it looks like we got it wrong... but we're still trying", that would have made the whole bunch look, well, HUMAN. It would have simmered down all this pointless arguing, and helped unite us as a Country. But, NOOO, " we don't make mistakes"...not at the border, not with the election [ and the resultant person in the White House ] and CERTAINLY with our unlimited knowledge of the china-flu. We all have strained friendships, at a time in history when we need each other most. In my remaining years I will NEVER forgive this administration for the damage they have done to my Country.

Seven months to say " We're all Americans... let's work TOGETHER to deal with this thing." NOT threats and fear-tactics from an administration that treats It's citizens like idiots. They work for us. Yet they treat us like a third-world country that can't tie our shoes.
The guy that runs my local hardware store has more Patriotism and integrity than ANYONE in the Democratic party.
