New Revelations About Hunter Biden's Art Dealer Make Art Deal Even Shadier

You seriously can’t make this schiff up.

First son Hunter Biden’s incredibly suspicious art career couldn’t possibly get any more suspicious at this point, not if he were directly selling his artwork for billions of dollars to Iranian mullahs.

He’s not, as far as we know, but with the incredibly dubious means through which the Biden administration is vowing to establish ethics are preserved as he sells his mediocre work, there’s no telling who is buying it at this point.

This week, Fox News reported that Georges Bergès, the owner of the Manhattan art gallery where the problematic political son will be launching his new art career, declared in 2015 that he wanted to be the “lead guy” in China’s burgeoning art world (which is, apparently, a thing).

Not only is Bergès the proprietor of the establishment where Hunter’s paintings could be listed for as much as $500,000 — an astronomical sum for any artist, let alone an amateur — but he was also touted by the White House as the person they have trusted to make sure that there’s no potential for influence peddling as Hunter Biden, a man long accused of selling access to his powerful father and benefitting handsomely from his family name, sells the art he just started making five seconds ago for tens of thousands of dollars.

See what I mean? I couldn’t possibly make up something this absurd to add to the menagerie of reasons why we should be incredibly concerned about Hunter Biden’s art career as a matter of national security.

“White House officials have helped craft an agreement under which purchases of Hunter Biden’s artwork — which could be listed at prices as high as $500,000 — will be kept confidential from even the artist himself, in an attempt to avoid ethical issues that could arise as a presidential family member tries to sell a product with a highly subjective value,” The Washington Post reported earlier this month.

“Under an arrangement negotiated in recent months, a New York gallery owner is planning to set prices for the art and will withhold all records, including potential bidders and final buyers. The owner, Georges Bergès, has also agreed to reject any offer that he deems suspicious or that comes in over the asking price, according to people familiar with the agreement.”

What could possibly go wrong?

Well, as it happens, a lot; this is insanity, the world has gone mad. I can’t even believe this is real life at this point.

As Fox discovered, in 2015, Bergès told the bougie magazine Resident that as China’s influence over the world had grown economically, he had become fascinated with its art scene.

So this guy is totally the right person to make sure that Hunter Biden isn’t bought — a guy who has business ties to China, where Hunter Biden is accused of having been bought.

“China’s economy is transforming the global economy and everything is changing because of a rising China. But beyond that, what fascinates me is the cultural impact that China is having on the world. How is China affecting the global art community?” Bergès told interviewer George Wayne.

He explained he had been flying to the communist nation to “further my embrace of the rising China and its undisputable growing influence of contemporary art,” and that while power and money may “come and go,” “when you make a cultural impact on society, that lasts forever.”

“Cultural power is real power. That is the reason America continues to be the capital of the world, because of its influence on culture for generations and on an unrivaled global level,” he explained. “And I think more and more the Chinese are beginning to understand that cultural innovation will power their future cultural influence across continents. And what will drive that cultural empowerment?”

This is actually remarkably insightful about the means through which China is managing to sneak its influence into Western society, but that’s a topic for another day.

Bergès, who also told Quest magazine in 2015 that he had been flying to China regularly, was also quoted in the Bejing mouthpiece China Daily for his work with an event that promoted Chinese artists whose work he described as “not just pretty objects to create, but [that] also challenge the locals’ perceptions of what China is and the institutions they live with.”

Given this is Chinese Communist Party-run news, it’s unlikely he meant that the perceptions “challenged” by this meaningful artwork were those favorable to the authoritarian regime, it is worth noting.

In 1998, Bergès was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and making “terrorist threats,” although the latter charge was later dismissed, according to the New York Post.

In 2018, however, he settled out of court with investor Ingrid Arneberg after the latter accused Bergès of defrauding her for $500,000 in 2016.

Again, this is the guy who has pinky-promised the White House that neither Hunter Biden nor the American public will ever know who buys the first son’s amateur artwork by way of assurance that there won’t be any influence peddling going on.

A guy who loves the Chinese art scene, flies to China frequently and aspires to greatness in the Chinese art world.

Is Hunter Biden's art career a cover for influence peddling?
Yes: 98% (46 Votes)
No: 2% (1 Votes)
Meanwhile, do not forget that Hunter Biden himself still owns stake in a Chinese private equity firm that the Biden camp promised he would unload before his father took office. If he’s selling his paintings to CCP-linked buyers, I wonder how much the “big guy” is going to get this time — or how dangerous such a deal could be for our country?

By the way, even if it were ethical to merely keep the names of art buyers private from Hunter Biden and the public, this week, a spokesperson for Georges Bergès gallery told CBS News that the artist is “looking forward” to attending his openings, where prospective buyers will also be. So even this flimsy, pathetic promise that Hunter will be carefully kept away from rich people who want to buy his paintings has gone completely out the window.

I can only imagine what Jen Psaki is going to have to say this time to try to keep her finger in the dam.

Eventually Hunter will become a victim of "Chinaside" complete with 2 shots to the back of his head.
Very similar to Arkancide only without the Clintons.

Will the IRS Come After Joe Biden For Tax Fraud?
Posted Tuesday, July 27, 2021 | By AMAC Newsline
AMAC Exclusive

President Biden seemingly can’t go more than a few weeks without finding himself in a new moral and ethical quandary thanks to the professional schemes of his son, Hunter. But while previous scandals have revolved around Hunter’s drug use, potential illegal lobbying, business dealings with the Ukraine and business dealings with China, the latest round of revelations could directly implicate President Biden by raising new questions about if Joe Biden violated federal tax law – as well as the United States Constitution – by not reporting income received from or through Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

According to recent reporting from the New York Post, Hunter Biden was allegedly paying thousands of dollars’ worth of bills for his father while Joe was serving as Vice President. A series of emails dating back to 2010 expose Hunter Biden’s growing frustration with having to make payments for “JRB,” presumably Joseph Robinette Biden. The digital discussions were between Hunter and Eric Schwerin, his business partner at Rosemont Seneca.

Additionally, text messages from 2019 between Hunter and his daughter, Naomi, found on the now-infamous Hunter Biden laptop seem to reveal the extent to which Hunter was footing bills for the entire Biden family. He wrote:

“I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years. It’s really hard. But don’t worry unlike pop [Joe] I won’t make you give me half your salary.”

At the time he sent these messages, Hunter was employed by Burisma Holdings, one of the largest gas producers in Ukraine, which has faced numerous charges of corruption. Hunter was compensated $83,333 a month to serve on the company’s board, despite having no experience in the natural gas industry. Two months before Biden left office, Hunter’s salary was cut in half to $41,500.

Many of the expenses Hunter paid on behalf of Joe were for home repairs, most notably $2,600 for a stone wall and a recurring $190 monthly phone bill charge with AT&T. While screenshots of texts and emails appear to confirm these specific payments, it seems likely that these examples are only a small fraction of a much larger pattern of potentially improper payments Hunter made for Joe while he was serving as Vice President.

President Biden has maintained that there has never been a conflict of interest regarding his son’s professional career and consulting while Joe was in office. However, if Hunter did pay a significant portion of Joe’s expenses with money earned from lobbying for foreign corporations, as these emails suggest, and Joe did not report these gifts as income, he likely violated U.S. tax law.

The section of the U.S. Tax Code dealing with gifts, commonly known as the “Gift Tax,” directly limits the “transfer of property by one individual to another while receiving nothing, or less than full value, in return.” Up to $15,000 may be transferred without incurring taxes. Yet the aforementioned emails suggest Hunter could have “gifted” far more than this to support his family’s lifestyle. More investigation is required but, if accurate, this would constitute tax fraud.

Additionally, it is possible that Biden’s failure to report these gifts deriving from foreign sources violated the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which states:

No Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

While no evidence so far shows Joe Biden personally accepted foreign gifts as Vice President, the possibility of him receiving benefits through his son’s business dealings raises massive red flags for Joe, Hunter, and anyone else in the First Family involved in such activity.

Even the Washington Post has reported that Hunter Biden understood his role as being the family’s breadwinner. In a widely cited piece from last October, columnist David Ignatius quoted Hunter telling a confidante that “my mom and dad don’t have money…. I have to make money for the family.”

Both Hunter and the Biden White House have also faced scrutiny recently after it was reported that Hunter had reached a deal with a New York-based art gallery owner to sell his paintings for as much as $500,000. Hunter, who is not a professionally trained artist, took up painting as part of his rehab from drug and alcohol addiction.

According to reporting from the Washington Post, citing several art critics, “Hunter Biden’s art would never be priced so high if he had a different last name.” Even CNN, a leading Hunter Biden defender, published an interview suggesting that Biden’s work is thoroughly unimpressive.

The White House has argued that Hunter’s newfound identity as a professional artist does not violate ethics requirements because of an agreement with the gallery owner whereby buyers remain anonymous to Hunter. However, Hunter is still set to meet with prospective buyers at “art shows” in New York and Los Angeles, with no apparent way to enforce the agreed-upon anonymity standards set by the White House.

The announcement earned bipartisan rebukes, with Walter Shaub, the former Office of Government Ethics director under Obama, blasting the White House for permitting the sales to move forward, stating “congratulations, you’ve just outsourced government ethics to a high-end art dealer.” After four years of the mainstream media falsely accusing the Trump family of profiting off the Presidency, many are asking if Hunter’s art career is simply a guise to allow Hunter to receive huge sums of money from individuals or groups – including foreign governments – who may want access to the President.

At a time when the Trump Organization is being aggressively investigated for even the perception of potential tax malfeasance, the Biden family’s alleged wrongdoing is facing far less scrutiny from the media and federal investigators. Such a double standard casts fresh doubt on Joe Biden’s claims denying any impropriety and warrants further investigation into the nature of Hunter and Joe’s financial relationship.

Hunter Biden's Art sales are not even comparatable to the amount of money Trump made off with during his presidency. He sold influence through Mar el Lago, rasing the dues from $200, 000 a year to $400, 000 after he was elected president and other golf clubs memberships went up, too.. He also had the hotel near the White House. Some foreign governments rented whole floors which they left vacant. And what about his childern? Ivanka got a sweet deal from China. Trump can be prosecuted on violating the emoulent clause in the constitution.
Remember, Hunter does not have a office in the west wing. He's just Biden's kid making a buck.

Successful? Selected people paying top dollar for someone who began his art career last month? Nah, it has nothing to do with who his daddy is, does it? If you believe that, I have ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

What’s Hunter Biden Really Selling? Hint: It Isn’t Art
There’s a reason his paintings are beautiful in the eyes of certain beholders.
