If you have had Covid, you should get a vaccine because scientists don't reslly know how long your immunity lasts. It may be only for a few mounths. Then you could get Covid again. Also, they are giving vaccines to long haulers. It seams to cut down on their symptoms.
So far, there isn't any need for s booster shot. It may not be needed, but it is a good idea to have it ready if things go south.
70% of Covid deaths are to people over 60. So, 30% of deaths are to people under 60. The younger you get, the less symptons you have. But you csn give it to other people if you come down with Covid. That is nasty.
I got the vaccine as soon as I could. I feel a lot safer. I like the peace of mind.
Where in the world did you get the idea that those who have been infected need anything? Thatβs ignorant. Youβre fine with long haulers getting vaccinated but no complaint about thousands of illegals being shipped all over the country from South America. Canβt you say hypocrite? By the way, your figures are skewed.

Vaccines do not have to be repeated except if they are given as a series. If you get a polio vaccine, you don't need boosters. If you get a measles vaccine, you don't need boosters. Some will point to the flu shot to say this is not always the case. But there is not one flu. Each flu vaccine works on the specific flu it was designed for. You don't get flu shot boosters but instead they make a whole new flu vaccine for the new flu virus.
So either the vaccine works or it doesn't. If it works, you must weigh the effects of the disease against the side effects of the vaccine. In the case of measles, polio, small pox, and several others; the disease is FAR more dangerous than the side effects.
As for protecting others, if a person knows they are at risk and choose to take their chances; that is their choice. It is not everyone's else responsibility to keep them safe from the consequences of their own choices.
As for children giving COVID to others, there has been zero documented cases where that has happened. And the side effects in young adults and especially children are very high.

Follow the science. You said, "I personally will probably not get it, unless covidiots who refuse to get vaccinated contribute to a surge among the unvaccinated that creates enough danger to those who have been vaccinated that it makes sense."
If the vaccine works, then whether other people get vaccinated or not, those that do will be safe. This calling for repeated boosters means the vaccine is not effective. And that doesn't even address how safe it is, especially for children, who rarely get sick with the SARS CoV-2.

The boosters is for the compromised immune system of the vaccinated not just for the covid. The rest of their lives they will be dependent on boosters.
At this point there is no good reason for a normal person to refuse the vaccine. They do have a right to do so. In that case if they get COVID they should be responsible for all their medical costs; no insurance or state aid allowed. Make it a debt not dischargable in bankruptcy.

Really? And you know this how? Letβs be honest, this vaccine is experimental. Hasnβt been around long enough to know all of the negative side affects. Already those with clotting issues are at a higher risk with the vaccines and younger people are showing heart damage in an alarming number of cases. I have taken the Pfizer vaccine. I weighed the risks. Not the same for everyone.

Foolish logic at best.... but with that logic i guess those illegals that decide to cross a river or desert are on their own because they made the choice? PPVTV watching them drown..... how about all those addicted? They made a choice. .... why do we care what happens ? We spend alot of money on that poor decision. .... shall we cover leaving unwed knocked up teenagers on their own...after all, they made the decision. ........ me thinks you should just shut up with that idiocy before you see how stupid it is and pull a Caradine in your neighbors closet.

I could go for that. As adults we should be free to make our own choices and responsible for any consequences of our own actions. Not just for our choices regarding the SARS CoV-2 virus, but in all walks of life.
But I disagree with your assertion that there is no good reason for a normal person to refuse the vaccine.

The only people I feel that should get the shot are older adults and people with pre-existing issues. Everyone else that has had the virus or gets it will develop acquired immunity. They have meds now that are great at fighting this and deaths are at this point rare unless they had a hidden problem. Some Drs. encourage taking daily vits to help your body to fight the virus IF you do get it
