There is no such thing as fascist Marxism but I would love to see you explain what you *think* it is.
Pings "market socialism" is a suggested hybrid. 'Dime a dozen, Alber. Like I said before, pretty much every prosperous nation in the world today is running a mixed economy.

Your quote "they really don't need to recruit immigrants… if anyone needs to add more people to their base it's the Republicans."

Shh, don't give them any idea's. They might figure out that they are good Christian hard working people and actually embrace them, let's just leave them alone. lol

I watched the video that the book is based on or vice-versa. As they say "war is hell." In every war or military conflict, there are victims who are innocent.

Most often the people of the countries involved could live peacefully together. It's the leadership and propagandist who take charge and develop the atmosphere of hate and evil.

When war finally comes then evil and madness begin.

In the case of WW2, Hitler and his minions started the war of which there is no doubt. While the book and the movie may tell an unknown story of the German people and it truly is a sad story, neither side of any war can come out pure as the driven snow. The human race suffers in war, there is no such thing as a victimless war. The best we can do is to pray it never happens again.

The bottom line in my estimation is that it was just as much Hitler's fault for the German peoples suffering as it was the allied forces. If he had not sought expansion and power the war would never have started.

I'm not sure what you're responding too, but for what it's worth, I generally agree with what you are saying here.

Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are the only two who have come out publicly. They also seem to be dragging the rest of the non socialist Democrats along with them to Socialist Nirvana.

What makes you say that?

Marjorie Taylor Greene stated that the Nazis were nationalist socialists. Well, that *IS* what they called themselves anyway. But then she followed that with a suggested parallel, saying that the Democrats are also nationalist socialists. What?!

My first reaction is to laugh. I mean, seriously, that's right up there with her suggestion that Jews are in space shooting lasers at California. But then I started to remember how enough people are falling for this nonsense now, that the Republican Party thinks they can win the democracy almost fair and square.

First of all, only two Democrats in Congress are self-declared socialists and they are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. The other 278 are committed to other persuasions, the most common one being the same free-market, neoliberal order supported by the moderate Republicans.

But let's talk about this "nationalist socialism" for a minute… I'll just come right to the point first before I backtrack for the explanation.

Democratic Socialism = actual socialism controlled through a democracy.
Nationalist Socialism = populist campaign rhetoric made famous by the Nazis.

In practice, the Nazis were not "socialist" by any stretch of the imagination but in the 1930's when they were trying to win the votes of the German people who were ALL demanding socialism (as was every worker in the world in those days including here in America) the promise of socialism proved to be an effective campaign trick. Calling it "nationalist" socialism had the added benefit of appealing to the emotional patriotism of the German people. BTW, there was also a Democratic Socialist Party in Germany at the time and when Hitler took over he had all their leaders executed.

This is basically how fascism works... by lying to the people and appealing to their emotions in order to empower a populist rising of zombies to help you take power from a democracy. This is precisely why so many Americans today are calling Trump and his emotional supporters (like Marge) fascists… because they are in fact taking the same approach. (Hitler was just better at it than Trump was... either that or the American democracy today has a greater percentage of people who know better than the German democracy did then).

There is apparently another thing people like Marge have in common with those who brought the Nazis to power… 'Falling for the "nationalist socialism" trick by not have the slightest clue what it really means.

Folks, don't be a squawking bimbo like Marge. The last thing we want is another Nazi regime because we were no wiser than the people who voted for the original Nazis out of ignorance.
Marjorie Taylor Greene stated that the Nazis were ... (show quote)

Democrats are communists - go ahead and try to deny that fact! Democrats support the 'green new deal', which mirrors the UN agenda 21, or as they call it now 2030, and which both are communism.

LOL... Actually, I don't think we have to worry about that. It's been so long since the Republicans embraced hard working people, it's doubtful they will even think about it.

The only fact I see being presented is that you either don't know what a Democrat is or you don't know what a communist is or both.... OR - you don't care, you just want to call Democrats communists. Hey, if it makes you feel better, knock yourself out!

https://www.hiddendominion.com/45-communist-goals-congressional-record-1963/

The 45 Communist Goals as Read in the Congressional Record of 1963

2. U.S. should be willing to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

These encapsulate the Kennan Doctrine, which advocated for the “containment” of communism. Establishment figures supporting the amoral containment policy at least implicitly worked with the communists in scaring the wits out of the American people concerning atomic war.

President Ronald Reagan undid the doctrine when he took an aggressive stand against the Evil Empire by backing freedom fighters from around the world that were struggling against the left-wing communist jackboot. As a result, the Soviet Union and its satellites imploded, a considerable and unexpected setback to the international communist edifice.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

Such aid and trade over decades contributed greatly to the left-wing communist liquidation of over 100 million people worldwide, according to the well-documented “Black Book of Communism.”

This aid and trade marks a shameful chapter in American history. Without the aid and trade, the left-wing international communist behemoth would have imploded on its own rot a lot sooner and umpteen millions would have been saved from poverty, misery, starvation and death.

For research to be meaningful requires a level of comprehension sufficient to put the research into context. straightup seems to be able to read but lacks the background needed to connect with the meaning of what he reads. He sees everything in his own context, totally missing the essence of what history is trying to convey.
