BREAKING: The "Tennessee Second Amendment Sanctuary Act" just passed in the Senate by a vote of 23-4. It is now scheduled for a vote in the House on Thursday. If it passes there, it will head to Gov. Lee's desk for his signature.
The law would render unenforceable, null and void in the state of TN any law, treaty, executive order, rule, or regulation of the United States government that has been found by the supreme court of the United States or the Tennessee supreme court to violate Article I, § 26 of the Constitution of Tennessee or the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. It would also prohibit public resources from being used to enforce, administer, or cooperate with the enforcement or administration of any such regulation, and allow for the ouster of public officials who violate the act.

Huh, and the trumpers were pissed off about sanctuary cities. To be fair, hypocrisy is SOP for them.

For many in the US, the 2nd Amendment is sacrosanct, and there will be a backlash against those who would change it.

nope, the difference is TN taking care of their own. Sanctuary states take care of the criminal illegals

They are not protecting anything illegal, as sanctuary cities protect illegal immigrants.

I saw a tee shirt I want. It shows Darwin's evolution of man from ape to modern man. A new image was added, it's a sheep after the modern man.

And as I recall, Tennessee is a pretty tax wise state-unless they have changed their laws, wages were not taxed in Tennessee as late as the late 90's which is the last time I looked at a Tennessee return. They tax investment income unearned income, like interest, dividends, capital gains and sales of business, rental income. I imagine there will be a mass move to Tennessee, if this is the law. It should go a long way to make it not very inviting for BLM, Antifa and illegals, I would think. Sounds like Tennessee actually cares about its citizens, if all this is true. I have not checked it out.

Nope - it`s the other way around! Tennessee is enacting these laws against the encroachment against the Constitutional right of owning guns for self defense! Don`t even begin to deny this fact! The Democrat sanctuary cities were protecting law breakers who entered this country illegally!! There is a BIG difference!
