the policeman was chasing a male with a gun (shown in the video). The policeman had no idea of the age of the male or if he still had a gun at the time of the shooting. We know he did have a gun and dropped it only moments before he turned around and was shot. The police know he had shot that gun earlier as he had residue from shooting the gun on his hand upon later examination and testing.

A cop should kill a suspect as a last resort, not as a first response to his own cowardly fears. The killer cop did not know about the "residue" when he murdered the boy.

You should watch the entire video. He didn't know the kid was unarmed.

I feel horrible that 13 year old lost his life,my nephew is 13....but I blame his parent(s)....Now they're going to sue Police Dept make millions of $$$$$ on the death of their son's death...

.

Is that the parenting guidance you give to your kids? Parents of kids killed by cops can make millions on horrible criminal killings?

I have not been trained in the art of policing. Being scared of a kid without a gun should get a cop fired. Shooting a suspect when he has his hands up in the air should be a last resort not a first response to a shooting investigation.

The kid threw the gun behind the fence . It will have the kids finger prints on it. In the dark, it's a tough call but you know the police saw the gun in the kids hands as they were running.

Suppose the time was 3 pm. Would your response that "I am a perfect parent" still apply?

There’s one helluva difference between a kid being out at 3 pm and being out at 3am!!

He's supposed to be a trained professional. I expect him to act like one not like a frightened child running on adrenaline! If someone puts their hands up that means they are surrendering not getting ready to shoot you!

The kid also had his hands up. Wouldn't that suggest he surrendered?

Why does it matter if he had a gun when he put his hands up. Wouldn't that tell the cop not to shoot?
