Ummmm, you may want to review John 3:16. Faith and belief are intertwined. Your first sentences are correct, but your last one is stated inaccurately. Other verses to consider: Luke 7:50 and Acts 16:30-3 and
Romans 10:9-10.
However, you are correct in that people who refuse to believe are condemning themselves. That is rejecting God's free gift, and choosing your own their own path. And NO path, except through Jesus Christ, leads to Heaven and eternal life with God.
