I keep forgetting to repeat the most important fact in the speed of finding a vaccine for this Covid virus..

Back in Jan or Feb. of 2020, China traced and published the genome of the covid virus.. which made all the rushed vaccines possible.. including the China and Russian versions..

And you want to put a rushed vaccine into your body?? One that has been tested only a few months, when it usually takes years to properly test them??

A done deal so can not go back.. also do not want to..

The rush did make me pause.. but the chance for this old guy seemed better to get the vac then to keep challenging the covid.. some local cases.. so it took little trouble to see that the better alternative was the juice.. and with today, it is the two week period for full effect , I have had only very minor reaction.. so am glad I did the deed..

My wife will bet her second shot in first few days of April.. Minnesota leads the country in shots in the arm..

Yet even with that we have a surge in cases, I consider it vital for all to get the vaccination and the many plots that are tossed out seem juvenile.. just not possible..

but no one is being forced, so if you fear the shot, I can understand that and wish you good luck. As the number of others vaccinated grows some protection will also be for you and others who do not.. Odds are you will be safe if the majority of others gain protection..

You can condescendingly call it fear that I am experiencing...I call it common sense. And I truly hope that what I read about long-term effects of the vaccine do not apply to you, since you have no recourse now.

Anyone who is on the fence and reading this - I highly urge you to do the research first, and don't let the media sway you - make up your own mind after doing the research.

Emily, if it were not fear and only inconvenience you would get the shot I think.. You seem to be someone who would not be so rude and thoughtless to others of your friends, family co-workers..

but I can understand the concern over the shot. being developed so quickly of course means they cut corners and that alone can be a problem..

but stay safe and careful by your own parameters and by the 4th of July we may well be in much better shape...

Like I said, and you ignore, it is not fear or inconvenience....it is common sense. There's just too much wrong and not enough right to justify putting those chemicals in me. Maybe in a couple of years it would be ok, but most likely this strain will be gone, and we will be dealing with new strains....just like we have been for decades without needing an inoculation.
