Isn't the range of colors in this one species of bromiliad amazing? My guess is that these colors are different because they have been carefully selected and bred that way by specific horticultural specialists which does explain why the plants were very expensive when they first became available in the commercial market. Now they can be purchased at Kroger grocery for less than $20.00 a plant, in bloom. The favorite one I have is green both leaves and flowers. It is looking like it is ready to grow pups, so hopefully I will have more of that amazing color in two years. I do have pups or several others but don't know how to mail you a few pups and whether you would like them and have the time to wait for the one and only flower each will have. Let me know and when the weather improves I will attempt to send you a few with instructions for growing.
