Just looked it up to make sure. Again the republicans voted no to our Vets. Back in February a bill was proposed to expand Veterans benefits. Voted down by every republican as too expensive. Some of the issues addressed. Remember when the republican Tea party darlings shut down the government. We'll the bill would allow vets to keep there benefits when the republican shut the government down again. Also like back in 2004 the bill proposed 27 new clinics and medical facilities for a long time solution to take care of these vets of the phony Iraq war and Afgan. Also to have facilities for the future wars that the republicans will dream up. Also to provide tuition assistance. But the republican/ Tea Party loves wars but no help to Vets. Could not believe it when I read this bill. Anyone want to bet that Fox did not report that.

It is with deep sadness that I must inform you of the death of your brain. Subsequently, your body has now assumed the stature of an animated corpse and is now preserved for the task of transporting your cavernous dead head.
In short, your infinite degree of asininity has initiated the transmogrification process that has resulted in a visual spectacle of the mortified harlequin that you see in your mirror.

You think it's fabricated. The bill was proposed in feb by the democrats. Please look it up. And stop the insults.

"IF" they voted NO, it was because the Liberals refuse to allow any reduction some where else in the budget to take care of it. They have done this many times. If the Dems refuse to allow cuts in the budget, the republicans will not buy anything new. So, go talk to the liberals and ask them the chop off something so they can get the vets where they belong.
Also remember, that we have the same problems in the private sector. The military problems are not new. Doctors quitting, hospitals going broke, and private sector people waiting to get into a specialist or even a family doctor who are getting few and far between.
this is an Obamacare created problem for all , to just military. Many in the private sector die while waiting for care also. Look it up.

Congress must decide what is fiscally possible, this bill was introduced after the budget was created. I would expect many if these bill in The near future for political posturing by the democrats. I would ask if this bill had been so important to the democrats and if the DINOs really cared then all if these taking points would not exist. Obama had over two years if total control and the only thing he did was produce ACA, 13000 pages of nonsense that has not helped anyone but the richest people. I feel bad that this story isn't covered by the media, but then again it isn't really news.
The VA hospital in Arizona was so overtaxed or incompetent that they let over 200 vets die if treatable issues, that is news!

The issue isn't money...it's a non-responsive, non-accountable government bureaucracy. The VA does not attract the best talent and, once it gets them on board, cannot get rid of non-performers. The entire system cries for reform and you would think both parties would join together in mixing the problem. Unfortunately, all they have done so far is point fingers and blame the other party. Instead of blaming Republicans and Democrats, I would suggest everyone write their elected officials and tell them you really don't care what caused the problem - just fix it! If they don't, refuse to vote for them in November. Make sure they get the word. We owe it to our veterans to fix the system.

There are 12 VA related bills stalled in the Senate, courtesy of Harry Reid. There are 246 total that are languishing because Harry Reid doesn't like them. Or Obama doesn't. Nothing much moves in the senate unless Reid says so. These bills are not stalled because of Republicans, Republicans don't have the votes to stall anything, or to prevent other legislation from passing. I don't have the link right now, I'll have to look it up again, for the third time.

You went through the trouble of " looking up" criteria to use in that post, while all along you ignore any ability to think for yourself. I don't have to "look up", information that I am readily capable of deciphering for myself. What you read, were the words of someone whose interests were to indoctrinate you into their negative assessment of the topic at hand so that you would agree to the target of blame. You further indict yourself into serfdom by assuming that I am a Fox News enthusiast. So when you ask why you are being insulted, understand that it is the imbecility of your post that initiated the first volley of insult.

So let me clarify for you the veracity of the subject of the plight of our veterans in regard to the current dilemma. It is not the fault of any ONE party or any direct act nor is it the malfeasance perpetrated by any specific individual.

The key word for you to " look up " is, " bureaucracy ". That is what the veterans administration is. You will find that the term " bureaucracy " is an absolute equivalent to the term, " inefficiency ".

When you can fathom this concept, you will no longer be the object of insult.

The end is near, democrats have lied just a few too many times and never take the blame.

Of course I wish I knew Latin, I confess that I had to look up your quote.

It amazes me how people continue to look at this as if one side is any better than the other. The problem is that everything the Democrats suggest cutting the Republicans want to keep and everything the Republicans want to cut, the Democrats want to keep. We've just been though all this with the budget ceiling issue last month. So don't make this all about the Democrats refusing to cut spending when the Republicans are just as much to blame for the same thing.

These problems that you describe precede Obamacare and in fact are the reasons why advocates of Obamacare thought this was the time to make it happen.

We aren't going to be able to fix anything if we keep falling for this partisan circus.

The reason why the vets are being dissed is because they have no profit value. When the corporations that control the nation say they need our military to secure a market for them, such as in Iraq, then the young soldiers they get the government to dispatch actually do have profit value because they will put their lives on the line to secure that market, or whatever their superiors want to call it... "democracy" or some BS like that. But when the mission is accomplished and the corporations don't need them anymore the soldiers immediately loose their value and spending money on something that offers no investment return is not going to be of any interest to the corporations at all.

So the subordinate politicians hmm and haw - looking for ways to fund VA programs in a system that has no place for anything other than profit and growth.
