I was talking to a woke woman who told me I had to get with the times. She told me that I was using too many words with gender implications. I thought about it a minute and agreed. I told her I’d start with pronoun usage and say she-he-it from now on. She didn’t like it.

Learned not to refer to gender last two years on a retail job. "How may I help you?"

A cute little boy in unisex jeans and teeshirt had braids and earrings in both ears, butch female in workshirt, buzz cut, droopy jeans--that was not a sir, and a person in a church Sunday dress outfit--hat, heels, large purse, makeup, and long red nails--had chest hair and five o'clock shadow.

Then again, the obvious male in a suit was very unhappy when I didn't add a sir to the greeting.

A clerk cannot win!
