There was no way Biden was going to be inaugurated either, this depends on which way the winds of public perception go, senators being limp reeds in the wind...there could easily be enough, and McConnell's call will be highly determinative.

I totally agree. Too many traitors amongst you Republicans to ever think you would convict. But as with the first impeachment, it's not about conviction but about doing what's right and if Republicans had done what was right the first time the second time never would have happened...
