If some on here would choose to accept facts instead of continually coming up with conspiracy theories and lies then we can start to move forward. If they continue to believe “alternate facts” I just don’t see how we can bridge this divide. In order for that to happen people who have supported Trump must be able to admit to themselves and others that they have been fooled and lied to by Trump and his supporters in Congress. People must be able to discern truth from fiction, regardless of what news sources they watch. We can’t have two sets of facts. And yes, what I have argued on here has been the truth and I have always backed it up with the best source material available.

Unintended Consequences

I gotta say I like your thinking. So thousands of peaceful protesters are marching in Portland and some doofuses decide it's a great opportunity to do some looting. Then a few fire lovers come out to torch a few cars or buildings and give a bad name to the whole group. I think the media is a little to blame by showing just the sensational pictures. But then who wants to see the protesters marching for 2 hours? Democrats will be lucky to hold the party together; we are a motley crew with progressives wanting to race ahead, some pro life people who agree with other policies etc. I get really ticked when someone here says we are all Marxists. Republicans are already split into never Trumpers and die hard Trumpers and all sort of people in between. I have a very good friend who is ultra conservative. we used to argue and get all riled up, but after a while we decided to not talk about politics .
