I’m trying to understand what 80 million voters disliked about President Trump so much that they decided to cast their votes for a man who served forty-seven years in government and has done absolutely nothing for the American people, apparently while lining the pockets of all his family, as well as his own!!! . And, I’m still flabbergasted that those same people would vote for a woman to serve as Vice President, a heartbeat away from the Presidency, with an extremely checkered, and not so moral past. I wondered why they despised and hated President Trump so much.

And so, I have many questions:

1. Did you dislike that Trump made cruelty to animals a felony?

2. Did you dislike he raised billions to stop the opioid crisis?

3. Perhaps you feel that he destroyed ISIS, killed terrorists, including the leader of ISIS and the Iranian General responsible for thousands of American deaths, all without going to war?

4. Did you dislike the fact that the media and democrats, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Cuomo, and Jim Acosta said we’d be in World War III by now with North Korea, and their prophecies did not come to pass?

5. Did you dislike Trump because under his leadership we became energy-independent and an exporter rather than an importer of oil, no longer relying on the Middle East for our petroleum needs?

6. Did you dislike him because he wanted to build a wall to keep criminals, human/child trafficing and drugs from coming into our country?

7. Did you dislike him because he just slashed the price for medications in some cases by 50%, which is driving big Pharma nuts?

8. Perhaps you dislike that he signed a law ending the gag-order on pharmacists that prevented them from sharing money-saving options on prescriptions?

9. Is your dislike for President Trump based on the fact that he signed the Save Our Seas Act, which funds $10 million per year to clean tons of plastic and garbage from the ocean?

10. Did you dislike that he signed a bill for airports to provide breastfeeding stations for nursing moms?

11. How about the fact that he signed the biggest wilderness protection and conservation bill in a decade, designating 375,000 acres as protected land, was that why you dislike him?

12. Did you dislike that he loves America and puts Americans first?

13. Did you dislike that he made a gay man the ambassador to Germany and then asked him to clean up national security and un-classify as much of it as possible for transparency?

14. Did you dislike that he’s kept almost every campaign promise (with zero support from Congress who work against him daily!) plus 100 more promises because Washington was much more broken than he or any of us thought?

15. Do you dislike that he works for free, donating his entire $400,000 salary to different charities?

16. Did you feel that he did this for four years because he was “showboating?”

17. Do you dislike that he’s done more for the black community than every other President?

18. Do you dislike that he listened to senator Scott and passed Invest In Opportunity Zones to help minorities?

19. Do you dislike that he passed prison reform, which gives people a second chance and has made quite a huge difference for the black communities?

20. Do you dislike that he passed VA reforms to benefit the very people who served our country and defend our freedom?

21. Do you dislike that he’s winning and signing new trade deals that benefit Americans, instead of costing us more?

22. Did you dislike him because, unlike all of the presidents who came before him, he recognized Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, relocated the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv there, and then proceeded to negotiate four peace accords between Israel and Arab Nations when many in the media were predicting there would be war? Was that why you disliked him?

23. Do you dislike that he loves his flag and his country?

24. Do you dislike that he calls out and has shown time and time again that the mainstream media in our country has become corrupt and incompetent, twisting the truth to control and mislead the people and he is trying to protect us from this?

25. Do you dislike that he has been a President totally committed to ending wars and bringing our troops home?

26. Perhaps you dislike the stern way he spoke, publicly to NATO allies to step up and pay their commitments to defense rather than expecting America to do it for them, something we have done for over seventy-five years?

27. Do you dislike that he has made a commitment to end child-trafficking and crimes against humanity and has made 1000’s of arrests already?

28. Do you dislike he’s brought home over 40 Americans held captive, the last one from Iran?

29. Do you dislike that he’s proven he was right about the Deep State and he was indeed spied on before, during, and after he became President?

30. Do you dislike that he was a Billionaire before he ran for President and now is worth at least 1/3 less... because he loves America?

31. Do you dislike that he respects cops, veterans, ICE & First Responders?

32. Do you dislike that he does not sell out America to other countries, like the leaders prior to him have done?

33. Could it be possible that the ones who sell out America to line their pockets own the media and Hollywood and hate him so much for trying to expose them and hate him for putting the American people first that they try to manipulate our thinking and control the information we get to try to cultivate hatred for him? These people benefit when you hate the man trying to stop them... so they won’t have to give up the wealth they have gotten and continue to get thru mass taxation and control. Wouldn’t you at least want to research this possibility?

34. Could 75 million Americans already know the truth... that he has done more for blacks in the last 20 years than our last 5 presidents put together and is actually not a racist and never has been one… but you believe he is because it has been drilled into your head and yet you’ve never researched his accomplishments?

35. You can start by watching those daily briefings he did during the lockdown (all online) and then watching the coverage on the Main Stream Media and how they twisted it.

36. Do you actually believe the President encouraged America to inject bleach?

37. Did you research the effects of UV light which is used to disinfect school busses and medical equipment and is also being used as a treatment for bacteria and respiratory infections? They want you to believe he is stupid because if you figure out that he isn’t, they will lose billions of dollars and all their control.

38. I know... it is hard to let go of what you believed to be true for most of your life. You are not alone. But your blind hatred of this man who is literally trying to save us from the far left, radical Socialists is going to be detrimental to our country if you continue to support their hatred.

39. They are teaching hatred and separation...to our children and even to our families! You are not allowed to agree with “part” of their agenda and think for yourself; you must repeat their full belief system, or name-calling and insults ensue.

40. This is not an informed debate. It is not a reason. This is the very definition of a cult! All or nothing! They despise law and order. Just look around you. He supports law and order, not looting, rioting, and chaos, so we are safe and can live in a civilized society. He stands for unity and America first. Is that why you dislike him?

41. You will be amazed at how much more peace comes into your life when you turn off the fake news and tune into what America stands for, where we focus on what unites us, not what divides us. The media has despised him from day one. Impeachment was on the table before he even took the oath of office in January 2017. They said Impeach the “motherfuc#^*r”....but then they turn around and say his rhetoric is bad? He was never given a chance, yet he’s done more in 4 years than any president with zero help from the media or democrats. Results don’t lie.

42. The media and democrats consistently complain about Trump “mismanaging the Covid Crisis." Nothing could be further from the truth. The man has been a rock and his leadership has kept the nation from the abyss. He promised a vaccine before the end of 2020. They said it could not be done. He proved them wrong once again….doses of the vaccine are being delivered now in mid-December!

43. He built hospitals in NYC and California, sent retrofitted Navy Hospital Ships which went unused, initiated Operation Warp Speed that produced PPE and therapeutics in record time along with thousands of ventilators, far more than we needed, and which are now being sent all over the world. And the overall death rate from Covid stands at less than one percent!

44. How dare this man, the President of the United States, care so much about the American people and our Country. How dare he stand at attention and salute our Flag, support our troops, honor our veterans, put God back into our lives, give people second chances and take seriously his oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

45. How dare this man show up at 2:00 AM at Dover Air Force Base to welcome home hostages held in foreign lands and the remains of our fallen soldiers.

46. How dare this man develop and implement plans and programs to create the greatest most prosperous economy and standard of living in the history of mankind.

47. How dare he reduce unemployment to 3.4% and lower unemployment for Black, Asian and Hispanic communities in fifty years!

You would think this man was trying to actually do things rather than speak eloquently and act “Presidential” and “Cool” about such things.

HOW DARE HE!
ONE WOULD THINK THIS PRESIDENT WAS TRYING TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP!!
HOW CRASS!!!
THE AUDACITY OF THIS MAN!!!!

Instead, what do we now have to deal with? And now what will happen to us? EVERYTHING THE DEMOCRATS HAVE WISHED FOR - AND BOY - ARE THEY GOING TO GET IT!!! The only problem is - so will the rest of us have to suffer too.
br I’m trying to understand what 80 million vot... (show quote)

A wonderful post that lists all the things I think of when I hear the name Trump. Most of the Trump-haters seem to have one characteristic they have assigned to the President and refuse to admit that there might be some positive ones. As a Trump supporter I will admit that sometimes I cringed when listening or reading his rhetoric, but I feel (my opinion) that his accomplishments far outweigh the lies. I can't think of one that really mattered in the whole scheme of the past four years. Although it must be wonderful to be so perfect that you can hate a man because he's not.

We witnessed an insurrection on Jan. 6th and the fragile Democratic Republic you spoke of has been breached and I fear for our future. If lawlessness and anarchy overrun our constitutional values, this great country of ours is surely doomed. I would recommend that you read the new book published by Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch (oddly enough a Trump appointee) entitled, "A Democratic Republic - - if you can keep it". He very cogently explains how our system of government was designed to work and it takes an educated and well informed populace to make it succeed. The growth of the Information Society and the ability of individuals to gain a platform for their ideologies allows crazies and looney-toons to preach conspiracy theories and distortions that confuse those who feel disenfranchised or cheated to join forces with the devil.
I remember how this country fought during WW11 and there was no division then and all Americans were united against the Axis forces and we won the battle. This battle is internal and that makes it far worse.

"It was John Adams who said: “The foundation of every government is some principle or passion in the minds of the people.” Clearly, the Founders’ passion was liberty, and in order to secure that liberty, they sought out and incorporated into the United States Constitution those ideas and principles embodied in the Declaration of Independence. The French historian, Guizot, once asked James Russell Lowell, “How long will the American republic endure?” Lowell replied: “As long as the IDEAS of the men who founded it continue dominant” Herein lies the answer to the question, “Will the Experiment Succeed?” It can and will succeed IF the motivating “principle or passion in the minds of the people” is LIBERTY, and if that passion causes them to exert the determination and will to complete the needed restoration of the IDEAS upon which the great American experiment was based."

Since Trump has shown clearly that he trusts Putin's word over our own intelligence agencies, he would be much more of a Russian patriot than an American one, that and all his attempts to tear America apart over these last four years, not a very good American patriot if you ask me. He has even breached his oath of office which includes many of the same "promises" as the typical oath one takes to become an American citizen, so there is that too...

Oath to become and American citizen:

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/learn-about-citizenship/the-naturalization-interview-and-test/naturalization-oath-of-allegiance-to-the-united-states-of-america

The oath that Trump took:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oath_of_office_of_the_president_of_the_United_States#Text

Not precisely the same wording and far shorter but some of the same content, I am also going to post the oath that others take when entering an office or other service to our great nation below, hence the additional bolded text within the American citizenship oath.

Oath of office for public servants and/or military personnel:

“I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/5/3331

Notice, much of the same oath taken by new American citizens is also taken by people wishing to serve our great nation is whatever capacity they choose to do so and vice versa? Notice also that the oath the president took is far shorter with less assurances or promises? And Trump breached even his limited assurances/promises. He couldn't even live up to that much much less what the average citizen public servant or military personnel. Trump is FAR from an American patriot, but sadly much closer to a Russian patriot, at least he seems to be staying true to his oath of fealty to Putin, provided he gave Putin an oath that is. Perhaps because if one betrays Putin, they end up dead, if the same one betrays America, Trumplicans want to throw them a parade.

Oh, I see the confusion now. You get all your information from Fringe RW, fake news, media... Try getting the real story and you will see that Trump was FAR from a true patriot, and he STILL tries to harm this country to this very day. A true patriot wouldn't have made all those false claims about a stolen election, and that is just one example of Trump trying to destroy America.

Putting aside the impeachments and terrorist attack on the Capitol for a moment, when you think about the past four years, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind?

Is it the lies? An avalanche of more than 30,000 untruths, false and misleading claims. Is it when he used a sharpie to alter a weather map to cover his ass because his office mishandled hurricane preparedness? He’s not just a liar, he’s an ignorant liar — the most dangerous kind.

Is it how he empowered right-wing news media? Not just empowered them, he let them rule — until they (briefly) stopped licking his boots. Can you imagine Barack Obama calling Wolf Blitzer and asking him what he should do about the budget? Would you let Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity make important policy decisions for your country? He did.

Is it how he insulted heroes? Remember the Gold Star family? Or when he called John McCain a loser? Or how he refused to lower the flag to half-staff after McCain died until the outcry forced his hand?

Is it when he gave the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh, Jim Jordan and Devin Nunes? (Never cared for Bill Belichick, but god love him for declining the medal.) Was Roger Stone not available?

Is it how he divided us? How he let "only the best" people like Stephen Miller build a wall between us and every other country, especially neighbors Canada and Mexico? First it was the Muslim ban, then came Mexico. I will never forget standing in line behind a woman wearing a hijab at the Bomb Shelter, a collection of restaurants at UCLA, in 2017. It was when we were starting to get a sense of how this administration would handle immigration. “Are you OK?” I asked her. She turned around and stared at me as if she wasn’t quite sure why I had spoken to her. “With what’s going on right now,” I added. “Oh,” she said. “Well, it hasn’t been easy, but I’m going to get through it.” I just shook my head and said, “On behalf of many of us in this country, I’m sorry for what you’re experiencing.” She smiled and thanked me.

Is it how he still hasn’t condemned what white supremacists did in Charlottesville? Is it because he’s the reason Charlottesville happened? Oh, he didn’t cause racism. In many ways, we haven’t made any progress at all in the past 200 years. But there’s no denying that he’s the reason the KKK, the Proud Boys and the others crawled out of their racist dens.

Is it when he pardoned Joe Arpaio?

Is it how he fired James Comey, and Sally Yates, and one Cabinet member after another, until he was left with nothing but sycophants — like Bill Barr, who lied about the Mueller Report, simply to please his boss?

Is it how he has refused to acknowledge racial injustice, even after George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police?

Is it when he blamed immigration for the mass shooting in El Paso, my hometown?

Is it how he has bulldozed environmental rules and regulations, or when he came to California and laughed at scientists when told that climate change will only make things worse as our state was burning?

Is it how he treated the news media? Is it how he insulted CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, Washington Post and other legitimate news journalists who dared to disagree with him, or ask the tough questions? Fake news, my ass.

Is it the “phenomenal” health care plan he promised to deliver? Time’s running out on that one.

Or is it how he downplayed and politicized the White House response to the worst crisis of my lifetime, the coronavirus? More than 388,000 Americans are now dead. Not all of those deaths are attributable to Trump, but there’s no denying that he screwed up the government’s handling of this pandemic, and that will be surely be a significant part of his legacy.

This presidency has taken a toll on everybody — some of us more than others. This man awakened something in me that I didn’t even know was there — red-hot rage at what has happened, disbelief that so many supported his agenda, and disappointment that some people I know still do. It’s also given me a new appreciation for the fragility of democracy, and a determination to make sure it survives. After what happened last week at The Capitol, that’s going to be a very difficult task.

Now — and I think I speak for most of my friends here on FB — get the hell out of our house, and out of our lives.
