What do you suppose the Capitol Police Officer was thinking? He doesn't know what the intentions were of these people. He was charged with protecting the men and women working in the Capitol and those conducting official business. That's exactly what he did. The ones who stormed the Capitol need to be held accountable. Why would they commit felony trespass, with what intention? Maybe to create a little havoc, or maybe to actually harm or kill people in the Congress or VP Pence. No one knows, and thank God it didn't come to that. What did these interlopers hope to achieve and why is anyone surprised that breaking into the Speaker's offices brought about gunfire in defense? In this respect, SSDD is absolutely right, "...rioting IS a criminal act, breaking into a building without authorization, IS a crime, that woman was a criminal, even IF her criminal career had only started that day.

It started out peacefully. President Trump had his rally. Then they marched over to the Capital. Meanwhile things went on in the Joint session. According to plan and expectations. Then after Arizona was objected, they split up, House and Senate, to make arguments for and against. I saw the House version and it seemed like a normal procedure, Republican against accepting Arizona's slate and then Democrat for acceptance. Usual arguments. Then the show I was watching switched to the Senate and McConnell speaking first for the Republicans and absolutely turning on them. I will never trust that son of a bitch again. Even though he is the Majority Leader, he needed to shut his mouth and not speak against his party. Remain neutral at least. Then Schumer speaking against the Republicans. What is this shitte. Finally a Republican from Oklahoma and he is doing the right thing. Then he is interrupted and the chamber cleared.

Now, lets go outside. Crowd smothering the capital steps, but mostly peaceful. Waving flags and such. All I could think at that point was what it would be like if those were Democrats with BLM and Antifa leading the way. Frozen water bottles and rocks flying through the air. What we have seen for 6 months now. Anarchists. Then I heard that they were banging on the Capital doors and breaking glass and getting into the Capital. Horrible thought. The speaker said she wasn't sure who they were or just agitators. I immediately thought of Antifa pretending they were Trump supporters, breaking in and then letting the blame go to the Trump supporters. Next pictures were of people walking around inside the Capital. Peacefully. Looking around like tourists. It was just that, as they even entered the Senate chamber. More like tourists, not protesters rioting and burning like Antifa and BLM are know for. The only wrong doing I saw was some idiot with a fire extinguisher. Jerk. Can't imagine what Antifa and BLM would have done if they got inside. All of the statues to be torn down. Graffiti everywhere.

Then I saw something about shots fired. No idea what that was about and still haven't heard. Then pics of the victim being laid down. Others laid out for arrest. Finally President Trump came on Twitter and asked everyone to remain peaceful and go home. Well done. Then the Capital area started to slowly and calmly empty out without any further confrontation. And the talking heads roll on.

I'm afraid that this rally and the few jerks might influence any possible Democrats swinging over to support the right cause, fixing the problems of this fraudulent election and making sense of things. Maybe that was the plan of the agitators that broke into the Capital.

So, now I can only hope that the Senator Cruz plan of a through investigation will play out. Five Democrats, five Republicans and five members of the Supreme Court. Let's get the evidence put out there for all of America to hear and see and not this Media cover-up. Let's see the truth, because without the truth, it will be only worse the next time around. It is about saving America as the leader of the free world and a shinning example of "FAIR" elections and the law and the best Constitution ever written and seeing that it is enforced within the plans of the founders.

I have a very different take on this. There is a very large and growing group of people in this country who are being frequently silenced, censored and targeted by the elite left. President Trump had 2 big draws in campaigning - he changed the entire narrative of the political circus of 2016 and talked about things that people were concerned with. And his America First platform for jobs and opportunity for Americans. He also did many great things while President, for instance holding drug companies' feet to the fire for charging far more for their products to Americans than are charged in other countries. But the election of President Trump was a symptom of the long time marginalization, denigration and ignoring the concerns of half the population (remember Obama with his "clings to their guns and bibles" trope?) The left's tacit approval of the rioting, looting, arson and assaults that have gone on for the past 8 years is unforgivable. Conservatives are not going away, and now they're beyond frustrated and angry, because after this election, and the Senate runoff with the identical tactics (Republicans are winning, we're going to stop counting now, and by 9am the Democrats are magically ahead) conservatives feel they have also lost their voice at the ballot box. I am one of these people.

You're very correct. Look at the video. All that it would have taken was a simple push and she would have been on her back outside of the door. But, hating Trump, she was shot and killed.

Look at the peaceful protesters breaking store glass doors, entering the closed store, stealing articles, and burning the stores down. The Judge forgave the criminals and they were set free to commit more crimes, in the name of justice... Radicle criminal hypocrites found a way to justify this criminality & put them back on the streets to repeat their blessed judicially accepted crimes in the name of hating Trump.
