Pence can't change any electoral votes. His authority under the 12th Amendment only comes into play if no candidate gets a majority of 270 votes. The decision would then be his to select the President. But the issue is moot because the votes aren't there to change the electoral count.

I wonder what made Sidney Powel so sure of her analysis?
Been listening to lawyers and legislative officials. So many inconsistent things revealed on that matter. That debate tomorrow will then be irrelevant when no candidate gets the 270.

I still think Pence does not want to encounter all the troubles if he exercise decision vested on on him by the 12th Amendment.

Anyhow my point is the Republicans refused to support a war bill for the first time ever in recent history, and ever since then, from 2013 to this present situation there has been a developing chasm departing a political divide to become a cultural divide.

Obama got overruled now Trump is getting overruled not by Scholarly arguments about history and Constitutional Interpretations, it's personal idiosyncrasies that are causing the division.

Idiosyncrasies are odd things that happen from time to time, their not unusual but sometimes can get out of hand, for example, the year was 64 AD Nero was on the fiddle while Rome went up in smoke, what was more important the smoke or the note, I'm not sure.

That's no totally true Ipnminor. Lincoln was not inaugurated until March in his 2nd inauguration due to the problems of the Civil War. With the war that the demorats have imposed on us, the election, with all of the fraud, may have to delay the inauguration until March before Trump can be sworn in.

Inaugurations were ALWAYS in March until they were changed to January.

Obeying the constitution for Mr. Pence would be denying the electoral votes from the states that are being contested seeing that those states went against the constitution and broke the law by bypassing the state legislature in those states in setting up the rules of voting for those states.
