All moves made and to come are legal. This is not the first time a dispute has risen.

The contested 1876 presidential election between Republican Rutherford B. Hayes of Ohio and Democrat Samuel J. Tilden of New York was the last to require congressional intervention. ... In January 1877, Congress established the Federal Electoral Commission to investigate the disputed Electoral College ballots.

It also happened in 1824.
So, why is it now sedition?

There is not one shread of evidence to support a claim of election fraud except trumps phone call trying to get Georgia to overthrow the election in trumps favor
