Founding 'Fathers' Quotes...

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserves neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin

“Firearms stand next in importance of the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence.” - General Washington

Americans have the right and advantage of being armed – unlike the citizens of other counties whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. - James Madison

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, at last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. - Thomas Jefferson

“No Free Man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” - Thomas Jefferson

"If ye love wealth better than liberty,
The tranquility of servitude better than the Animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - ~ Samuel Adams, speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security." - Thomas Jefferson

"Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God." - Thomas Jefferson

"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." ~ Winston Churchill

Sadly, no one on the left will read and understand these words. The Democrats have no knowledge of the Constitution they are sworn to protect. Perhaps, I should have said understanding and will to preserve.

Carol, I don't know where you get this stuff. I think that Republicans have no idea of the Constitution. If they did, Trump would never have been elected. Unconstitutionality is his religion and the Republican Senate members are his high priests. Does the constitution allow a POTUS to reverse an honest election in order to stay in power?

Saltwind!
Are you able to put the right shoe on the right foot?

As an Independent, I prefer to vote for an even number of each. I don't think it's a good idea for one party to overwhelm the other.

Do you really need a AK47, for deer hunting? Now before you reply just remember that the 2nd Amendment gives you the right to bear arms, not what kinds guns. Second the only way that a amendment gets overturned is by 2/3rds of the House and Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by 2/3 of the State legislatures, Then it is up to the States to approve a new amendment with 3/4 of the states voting to ratifying it. Which is how Prohibition ended. It would take 290 House members and 67 Senate members or 34 States so I don't think that you need to worry about the 2nd Amendment. Have a great Day and Merry Christmas to all here on OPP

The democrates have a very good knowledge of the Constitution, and right now it's working like it's supposed to.You you think it's not then I think your the one that has no understanding of the Constitution. The constitution ,does not include conspiracy theories ,propaganda and lies.

Suppose you state some legal reasons,
President Trump would never have been elected.

There sure was a lot of fraud from the Left/Democrats.
Trump won by such a landslide, they couldn't over come it.
