According to AOC, "Continuity of Government" is necessary, which tells you all you need to know.
On a lighter note, if people in Congress take the vaccine first and live, we will then know that it is safe. If they don't, then we have solved our corruption problem.

I agree with you. Since the vaccine is really still in testing stage, and many people are having reactions, better to test and determine how risky the vaccine is on the congressmen, loosing them to the reactions to the vaccine is not as much of a problem if it is a politician who gets sick. Start with politicians in California.

Those who have downplayed the seriousness of the pandemic should not be vaccinated. Congress and gov officials are NOT essential personnel.
The first to be vaccinated should be company officials and shareholders of the companies manufacturing the vaccine................putting our money where their mouths are.

How will you know it was the vaccine they actually took? Or the one being offered to the general peons?

I am not sure politicians are a good sample test population, odds are many of them are conspiring w/ the virus.
I wonder if the new, improved version of Covid from England is going to be susceptible to the vaccine.
The bigger question is how many are going to take it. I am 72 years old, fighting a bacterial infection for almost a year now, the antibiotics I have been taking have my immune system to the point I am isolated. I say the people who stayed on their jobs, medical workers, firemen, law enforcement, grocery store employees, many of whom are older & out of financial need stayed on the job. I can wait, have my doubts I would survive a reaction as bad as I have had twice w/ flu shots.
All the arguing, posturing, politicizing, may be gratifying to the sick minds about, but just shows there is no more American spirit. The country has been reduced to the equivalent of 1st-2nd graders trying to make up bad words on a playground.
The real winners are the politicians, mega-corps, big tech, & banks.

That's is why I suggested California first. If it doe not work, that is fine. If it causes major problems, so much the better. The fewer California Marxist socialist politicians the better, so let them be the guinea pigs.
