Conservatives have used the gun theory for years, every president since Reagan has said something about gun control, even Trump. Remember the "I'm not afraid of the NRA" until he met with them. Obama was defiantly going to take our guns, guess what. They haven't come looking for mine yet and some of them are registered. If the government wanted your guns they'd come and get them and nothing you could do would stop it. The gun grab thing is simply a ploy to sell more and more guns and ammo to people not smart enough to see through the gun industry's smoke screen.

I disagree about the ultra wealthy wanting less government. They want more government, government control over every aspect of our lives, because THEY are always exempt from anything like that. Their money to buy government allows them to get bills passed they want and get those they don't want killed. Maybe YOU want government controlling all aspects of YOUR life, but I certain,y do not. I am perfectly capable of making my own decisions and it is exactly because of government that my income isn't greater because they forcibly take my money away from me in order to give it to: 1. Foreign nations that never ever improve. 2. Global organizations that the USA receives little benefit from but pays the biggest share of support. 3. Benefits for foreign non-citizens, both legal and illegal. 4. Groups like NPR and the Kennedy Center that taxpayers would never CHOOSE to support. 5. Foreign nations to build infrastructure like border walls while refusing to do the same for us. 6. Groups studying useless and frivolous things like the sex lives of Keats. 7. To groups in foreign nations, like to one nation (can't recall which one) to help women there become better at using technology. And this list is non-ending because new ways to spend the money they take from us and that they borrow constantly, are always being generated by the unscrupulous bunch in Congress. Nope, more government is the very last thing needed by the USA. Unless you are one of our citizens that enjoy freebies provided by government .(or citizens of other nations that enjoy these freebies).
