Somehow just saying "I don't like him" isn't enough for Democrats (or some Republicans). That usually signifies they aren't really convinced themselves of their statements and need personal attacks to make them feel like they are adding emphasis. They've been doing it for years. I love to discuss issues with those with whom I disagree, if it is done with reason and facts. If not, I just avoid that subject with them rather than distance myself from them. It preserves friendships that way.
