Cuomo to get $25 raise despite New York's $638,000 Budget deficit . ...
proud republican... It appears the Gov's & other top folk's pay increases were scheduled for & approved in 2019, and the Legislature's & other State folk's pay increases were scheduled for 2020... Just bad luck on the part of the Legislatures & other State folks... And if things go the way they have in the past, in the near future, the Legislature will pass a Bill granting the lost pay increases, plus interest, so everyone need not be worried over this temporary inconvenience...
What do you expect from an organized crime mafioso! Heβs not in the business for the people. Itβs all about the $$$$$!
I can't think of even one politician who should be getting a raise.

Animal control officer.
Dog catcher is demeaning to that esteemed position.
Just thought I'd set that straight.
He could always turn it down - but what politician ever turns down money?
My county voted for a 1/2 cent sales tax to pay for a bypass, the bond was retired last year...................county officials have been fighting ever since over what project to approve to keep that money flowing........................while still collecting the extra 1/2 sales tax.
Why do you care what NY pays their governor? Are things so swimming in California that you can focus your attention elsewhere?

Correct you are.
So, is the position of Animal Control Officer a political position,(as in voted for), or is it an appointment by a politician ?
Hmmm, either way, Iβm not sure they could be trusted either.

No, he is an employee of the town or burg. However, it is often a job given to the brother or son of one of the minor politicians in the area, at least it is in West Virginia.
