International huh, so just what is new or surprising about that? I'm betting I have a lot better idea of what the far right encompasses in this country than you ever will. But you can go on as long as you want claiming that you, a former Canadian citizen living in China, understands America better than those of us that have lived here all our lives. Yeah like I am going to believe that for a minute. Qanon and Hannity, PLEASE......

Qanon is an ignorant conspiracy theory, there is no governmental deep state of Satan-worshipping pedophiles seeking to undermine President Trump and all the wonderful things he has been doing. Total crock of crap without a single gram of evidence to support it. Trump has had 4 years to prove any of this was true with the force of the federal government and the justice department behind him, and what do we have to show for it.............NOTHING. And Hannity, he is a boob and the only reason he does what he does is because he is getting rich off all the fools on the far right that are ignorant enough to believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

My statement went right over your head... The clarify - the greater number of alt righters have no love or respect for Qanon or Hannity... Sigh... There's that ethnocentrism...

And I not once claimed to understand America better than an American... For obvious reasons...

You don't have far right in China or Canada like we have here. Our far right wackos are skinheads, white supremacists, Nazi sympathizers and crazies who did not like how our civil war ended 155 years ago and want to start another one. American citizens just might own more assault rifles than the Chinese army. How many of your fellow citizens have personal arsenals at home? Oh right, that would be NONE. If you live in the right area that has hunting zones you might be able to get approval to buy a hunting rifle, but other than that the average citizen in China can not legally even own a firearm. You do not have an armed citizenry that is armed with assault rifles or an average of 1.2 firearms per citizen across the entire country (and that is an old statistic, probably more like 1.4 or 1.5 these days).

Plenty of skinheads and neonazis in Canada... You'd understand that if you had any experience beyond your borders...

Not so many here in China...

What you fail to understand is that such individuals make up a very small part of the alt right... It's only the ignorant left who think otherwise....

Americans have guns... big wup... No one is impressed... The alt right is an ideological movement.. We don't require force of arms to further our cause...

You all should remember that we all have guns here, not just the far right wackos, and there are a lot more Americans not on the far right than on the far right, and yes most of us are ready should the need arise to send those far right wackos to hell in bodybags.

Well I certainly agree his attempts may have been poor, but they have been wide spread and way outside of anything that has ever happened before in the past 240+ years of this country. Bush was not even in the same league. Nobody else in history has done 1/50th of what Trumpy has done or tried to do. Too bad he was not able to stack the court sufficiently to make his efforts work.

And no the terms fascism and authoritarianism are quite accurate.

Yeah right, no collusion by any of the Trump campaign staff or Trump huh, I guess that is why so many of them have been prosecuted and gone to jail. Educate yourself, read the special council report, read the report put out by Senate republicans, use your brain. Its really not rocket science. Just because the Senate repigs didn't have the backbone to do what was right (outside of Romney) does not mean there were no attempts at collusion nor any actual collusion by his campaign. By the way, he was the leader of that campaign.

The full list of Mueller indictments and plea deals

1) George Papadopoulos, former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, was arrested in July 2017 and pleaded guilty in October 2017 to making false statements to the FBI. He got a 14-day sentence.

2) Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chair, was indicted on a total of 25 different counts by Mueller’s team, related mainly to his past work for Ukrainian politicians and his finances. He had two trials scheduled, and the first ended in a conviction on eight counts of financial crimes. To avert the second trial, Manafort struck a plea deal with Mueller in September 2018 (though Mueller’s team said in November that he breached that agreement by lying to them). He was sentenced to a combined seven and a half years in prison.

3) Rick Gates, a former Trump campaign aide and Manafort’s longtime junior business partner, was indicted on similar charges to Manafort. But in February 2018 he agreed to a plea deal with Mueller’s team, pleading guilty to just one false statements charge and one conspiracy charge. He was sentenced to 45 days in prison and 3 years of probation.

4) Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty in December 2017 to making false statements to the FBI.

5-20) 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies were indicted on conspiracy charges, with some also being accused of identity theft. The charges related to a Russian propaganda effort designed to interfere with the 2016 campaign. The companies involved are the Internet Research Agency, often described as a “Russian troll farm,” and two other companies that helped finance it. The Russian nationals indicted include 12 of the agency’s employees and its alleged financier, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

21) Richard Pinedo: This California man pleaded guilty to an identity theft charge in connection with the Russian indictments, and has agreed to cooperate with Mueller. He was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 6 months of home detention in October 2018.

22) Alex van der Zwaan: This London lawyer pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Rick Gates and another unnamed person based in Ukraine. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and has completed his sentence.

23) Konstantin Kilimnik: This longtime business associate of Manafort and Gates, who’s currently based in Russia, was charged alongside Manafort with attempting to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses in Manafort’s pending case last year.

24-35) 12 Russian GRU officers: These officers of Russia’s military intelligence service were charged with crimes related to the hacking and leaking of leading Democrats’ emails in 2016.

36) Michael Cohen: In August 2018, Trump’s former lawyer pleaded guilty to 8 counts — tax and bank charges, related to his finances and taxi business, and campaign finance violations — related to hush money payments to women who alleged affairs with Donald Trump, as part of a separate investigation in New York (that Mueller had handed off). But in November, he made a plea deal with Mueller too, for lying to Congress about efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.

37) Roger Stone: In January 2019, Mueller indicted longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone on 7 counts. He accused Stone of lying to the House Intelligence Committee about his efforts to get in touch with WikiLeaks during the campaign, and tampering with a witness who could have debunked his story. He was convicted on all counts after a November 2019 trial.

Finally, there is one other person Mueller initially investigated, but handed over to others in the Justice Department to charge: Sam Patten. This Republican operative and lobbyist pleaded guilty to not registering as a foreign agent with his work for Ukrainian political bigwigs, and agreed to cooperate with the government.

That's a helluva lot of indictments for a team that did not collude don't you think?
Quote: "Laugh.... What collusion??? What att... (show quote)

A hell of lot of indictments without a single one for collusion... Is this really your reasoning??? Indictments must equal collusion even if they're not for collusion... That's some awesome logic you got going there...

Quote:
Quote: "Yes... 1% of 1% rioting... A mere half a million people looting, burning, assaulting.... With the tacit acknowledgement and support of a certain party and ideological group... And they stopped as soon as they got what they wanted... Like spoiled toddlers... Kick, scream, bite,yell... Then relax when the shiny bauble is placed in their hands... There's a reason responsible adults don't trust children with fragile, valuable items...
And a reason God gave us spanking boards...."

I don't support any of the rioting and looting, but the far right was plenty involved in all this as well. And still yes 1/10 of 1% is not a significant part of society as you stated. I was born in Detroit and moved out of the city after the race riots there in the late 60's. If you compare the rioting and looting just in that one city during that period it would be several times larger than all the rioting and looting we saw in the entire country this year. If you lived through the 60s and 70s when civil disturbances were frequent whether due to issue of race or issues with the Vietnam war, what we saw this past year was basically tiny in comparison. So perhaps you need to re-calibrate your thinking a bit as you are showing your ignorance. And by the way, I am quite sure that God did not invent spanking boards, that's just not his way. However, if you feel the need to use a spanking board to teach your children how to become good adults, it says an awful lot about you, and none of it is good.

If you really believe that this election was fair and honest, the you should really check you own IQ. The votes that showed up in Wisconsin between 3 and 4 AM were a physical impossibility. It's my understanding that in Arizona alone, there are 14,000 registered voters who are dead , many of whom have been voting for several years even though dead. You think there is no proof because CNN says so. CNN where Trump is concerned, are proven liars, as well as many other MSM sources.

I think there is no proof because there is no proof...........yet.

That is not to say that there won't be some irregularities found, on both sides, but if you had any clue how the system works you would know that there are layers and layers of safeguards to stop widespread voter fraud from happening.

They counted votes in many states overnight, some states did it for days in a row. Votes were being tallied between 3 and 4 am all across the country on November 2, 3, and 4.

If you live in a state like WI, can vote by mail, but the state legislature makes laws that do not allow you to count any mail-in voting until 7:00 am on November 2, and you have say 2 million mail in ballots, its going to take days to get them counted.

There are registered voters that are dead in all states, it takes time to update voter rolls. You don't die today and get kicked off the rolls tomorrow. But there is a process in every state to check on this. A guy in Florida was caught last week trying to submit a ballot for his mother who had died like in 2012. It was a vote for Trump. But the state caught it. According to what I can find online, since 1999 in this country there have been a grand total of around 1,200 fake votes by dead people in the entire country. Hardly enough to sway any election.

All states have rules under which they maintain voter rolls—or, check and remove certain names from their lists of registered voters. Most states are subject to the parameters set by The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). The NVRA requires states to make efforts to remove deceased individuals and individuals who have become ineligible due to a change of address. It prohibits removing registrants from voter lists within 90 days of a federal election due to change of address unless a registrant has requested to be removed, or from removing people from voter lists solely because they have not voted. The NVRA says that states may remove names from their registration lists under certain other circumstances and that their methods for removing names must be uniform and nondiscriminatory.[16] According to the National Conference of State Legislatures. In most states, election officials receive information on deceased voters from the state department of vital statistics, the state department of health, or another agency that handles death records. In some states officials may also gather this information from other sources, such as obituary notices, copies of death certificates, and notification from a close relative."

"It is more likely that an individual will be struck by lightning than that he will impersonate another voter at the polls."

So yeah, dead voters is just another conspiracy theory of the right.

LOL, good imagination you have there.

Sorry if some of that went over your head. If you don't understand the abortion reference too bad for you (although I'm pretty sure you understood it just fine). I have gotten what I wanted out there for all to view on OPP and shattered a number of conspiracy theory lies that all of you love to spread. Not about winning or losing for me, its about truth versus lies. Always has been for me on OPP.

Glad you are living the high life there in China. Not so amazing for much of your population though from what I hear?

So if you don't mind, I am interested to know what you would say are the things that make China "amazing", and how that compares in your opinion to Canada (yeah, I know Canada pretty well, if Trump won I was considering moving there, had already been looking at properties on Georgian Bay). I know the Chinese are good hard working people and there is tremendous natural beauty in your country and truly exquisite food. But what about the levels of corruption, inequality, or even pollution and health. How does the future look with a rapidly aging society and a lack of young people coming up to fill the void. Just what do you see as the goal of China these days other than becoming the worlds economic engine (if it isn't already). Just what in your opinion makes China amazing today?

NOPE...........

He sure tried to "get the prosecutor fired" because that is what the US government and much of the world wanted at the time because that prosecutor was horribly corrupt. It had nothing to do with anything involving Hunter Biden. In fact, the Burisma probe by the prosecutor was for things Burisma had apparently done between 2010 and 2012, and Hunter Biden did not even start to work for Burisma until 2014. Its all another fake news story ginned up by Trump and you right wing wackos. But you refuse to accept facts so I just don't know how to help you.

How about this way:

WASHINGTON – A whistleblower complaint centering on President Donald Trump's phone call with the Ukrainian president has spurred a number of allegations and counterallegations as Republicans and Democrats jockey for position amid an impeachment inquiry.

At the heart of Congress' probe into the president's actions is his claim that former Vice President and 2020 Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden strong-armed the Ukrainian government to fire its top prosecutor in order to thwart an investigation into a company tied to his son, Hunter Biden.

But sources ranging from former Obama administration officials to an anti-corruption advocate in Ukraine say the official, Viktor Shokin, was ousted for the opposite reason Trump and his allies claim.

It wasn't because Shokin was investigating a natural gas company tied to Biden's son; it was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians, according to a Ukrainian official and four former American officials who specialized in Ukraine and Europe.

Shokin's inaction prompted international calls for his ouster and ultimately resulted in his removal by Ukraine's parliament.Without pressure from Joe Biden, European diplomats, the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations, Shokin would not have been fired, said Daria Kaleniuk, co-founder and executive director of the Anti Corruption Action Centre in Kiev.

"Civil society organizations in Ukraine were pressing for his resignation," Kaleniuk said, "but no one would have cared if there had not been voices from outside this country calling on him to go."

In a July phone call, Trump asked the president of Ukraine to investigate Biden's actions. That prompted a whistleblower to accuse Trump of asking a foreign government to interfere in the 2020 presidential election, which is now the subject of an impeachment inquiry.\

Trump's assertion contradicted

The actions at the center of Trump's allegation occurred in late 2015 and early 2016, when U.S. aid was critical to Ukraine. Russia had seized control of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula and was supporting separatists who were fighting Ukrainian forces in the eastern part of the country.

Biden took an interest in Ukraine, said Steven Pifer, a William J. Perry fellow at Stanford University and former ambassador to Ukraine under President Bill Clinton.

"You saw the vice president begin to emerge as really sort of the senior policy lead on Ukraine," Pifer said. "It's good to have attention at that level."

At one point, Biden withheld $1 billion in aid to Ukraine to pressure the government to remove Shokin from the Prosecutor General's Office.

Burisma Holdings was not under scrutiny at the time Joe Biden called for Shokin's ouster, according to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, an independent agency set up in 2014 that has worked closely with the FBI.

Shokin's office had investigated Burisma, but the probe focused on a period before Hunter Biden joined the company, according to the anti-corruption bureau.

The investigation dealt with the Ministry of Ecology, which allegedly granted special permits to Burisma between 2010 and 2012, the agency said. Hunter Biden did not join the company until 2014.
