Should Every State Be Able To Have It's Own Rules, Or Should Voting Be The Same Across The Country?

Looking at how different states handle their elections, it's apparent that most run smooth elections, they manage their voter loads well to where their lines are reasonable, mail in ballots are handled in a timely manner and counted or processed as they come in so there are no deadline issues, there are hard ballots available for recounts, but they seem to never be needed.

Screwed up elections, mistakes on ballots designed to confuse people, missing deadlines for mailing ballots, gerrymandered districts, making up new and unconstitutional election laws, intentionally creating longer lines instead of shorter ones in highly populated cities, selectively purging voter registration rolls, the news is always red controlled states. Federal rules that apply to every state are in order, we need to make elections go as smoothly as possible, not intentionally screw them up as much as possible.

And here is our post office sending out a message to every state that does not apply to many, a case where since there are different rules in every state one set does not apply to all. Reading the article you will see that secretaries of states in charge of elections wanted a chance to review these "guidelines" and DeJoy refused to give them that chance to send a clearer message that is more appropriate for their states.
