The statement that science is the only way to truth contradicts itself because the statement has no basis in science.
In the first pico-second of the Big Bang, all the laws of nature and science came into existence. We didn't make 'em up, all we can do is discover them.
All things that exist have a cause,
the universe exists,
therefore the universe has a cause.
The universe has a cause for its existence,
life exists in the universe,
therefore life has a cause.
A cause for something to exist implies a purpose for its existence,
the universe and life were caused to exist,
therefore, the universe and life have a purpose.
A purpose for something to exist implies an intelligence defined the purpose,
the universe and life have a purpose,
therefore the intelligence that caused the universe and life to exist had a purpose.
There are five disciplines that must be applied to realizing the truth.
Metaphysics - the branch of philosophy that deals with first principles, abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time and space.
Epistemology - the theory of knowledge with regard to its methods, validity and scope. The investigation of what distinguishes justified belief from opinion.
Ethics - the branch of knowledge that deals with moral principles.
Anthropology - the study of human societies and cultures, their development. The study of human biological and physiological characteristics and their evolution.
Theology - the study of God and religious beliefs and theories when systematically developed.Leave any one of these out and no cigar.
The Privileged Planet utilizes stunning computer animation, interviews with leading scientists, and spectacular images of Earth and the cosmos, to explore a startling connection between our capacity to survive and our ability to observe and understand the universe.
Is this correlation merely a coincidence? Or does it point to a deeper truth about purpose and intelligent design within the cosmos? THE PRIVILEGED PLANET is based on the book with the same title by Jay Richards and Guillermo Gonzalez. Production began in October 2002 and was completed in June 2004. The documentary presents the Richards/Gonzalez hypothesis that the Earth was designed to both sustain complex life and enable scientific discovery. The statement that science is the only way to trut...
