A Fifteen Year Old's Prayer

Now I sit me down in school

Where praying is against the rule

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.

If scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Rights.

And anytime my head I bow

Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,

That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all..

In silence alone we must meditate,

God's name is prohibited by the United States.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,

And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...

Guns are allowed, but Not the Bible.

To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,

And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.

It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,

We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..

We can get our condoms and birth controls,

Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles ...

But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,

No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Amen

"As the Ukraine crisis heightens, the so-called BRICS countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - are becoming less willing to accept US world supremacy.

The goal of the emerging countries is clear - to change the global order with the United States as the hegemonic power. "The BRICS countries are a group of nations unsatisfied with the international order," said Peter Birle, head of research at the Ibero-American Institute (IAI) in Berlin. "The importance of BRICS could rise if Russia remains permanently excluded from the G8," he added.

According to Birle, the five emerging countries seek to permanently upend the power constellations established in 1945 and relativize the US position. "All these countries view themselves as emerging powers with a great future ahead of them," he said at the 15th Stuttgarter Schlossgespräch, an annual conference involving a panel of international social science, culture and politicis expert. This year's talks focused on the relationship between Brazil and Europe.

"For Brazil, the BRICS countries are a platform to benefit as a mediator and reformer on the international stage," said Cristina Pecequilo, a political scientist at the University of Sao Paulo, adding that she doesn't view Russia's G8 exclusion as so tragic. "The emerging countries are better represented by BRICS than by the G8."

When Jesus died on the cross, He said it is finished. God has done all He could to warn people what is coming. He protects His own. In Noah's day God let everyone die in the flood. Only eight people survived. All these scriptures have a Spiritual meaning. Everything God has done for this world is over. Once again, just as in the days of Noah God is saving all those He will save. After He is done, then as in the day of Noah, God will destroy this world with fire. God said the flesh profits nothing. God is doing Spiritual work now. All flesh is dead to God. Go out to the cemetery and check it out. There are seven billion people in this world. In a hundred years they will all be dead. Eternal life is for God to give. Jesus said, I chose you, you did not choose me. It doesn't matter what we believe. Let God be true And every man a liar.

Patty, we only have to look as history to see that everything eventually passes away....because history repeats itself until humanity learns enough from it to NOT repeat it. LOL And, most just haven't gotten that far. That would be my one prayer for this nation....that we do not become another nation falling to the ills of all of those before ours. But, unless the voting populace stops fighting and gives allegiance to the country and the principles on which it was built...we're a lost cause.

Great prayer. Where did you find it, or did one of your children write it? I am going to pass it on to as many people as I can. Thanks for the post.

Google "A Fifteen Year Old's Prayer " Of course snopes has to put their 2 cents in about it not really being written by a 15 year old. Like that changes the prayer. There is a story behind it being read over the intercom by a principle then being made to apologize to the atheists for offending them.

The last major post I did "Moral Relativism and Making Gay OK" I did stay up half the night and my eyes didn't uncross for two days. I'm no good at cut and paste anyhow. Keep thinking I need scissors and Elmers glue to do it. That is what happens when you get old and way too stuck in your ways, and I have reached that point.

So far this morning it would look as if most conversations are remarkable civil. Guess the others haven't awakened yet. Please sleep all day guys!

And we all started out from only 8, less than 10.000 years ago? No wonder we act so effing inbred.

On a happy note, the US Supreme Court ruled that the town of Greece, NY can have religious services before town meetings. It was a 5 to 4 decision. They summon local clergy. They use all denominations, at no public expense.
