People are omnivores as shown by their tooth structure. I wonder why some items in the grocery store say NON GMO in bold letters. Is it because some people are afraid to eat genetically modified food? W just came back from the market today where I showed my wife how all the meat is marbled today. Before we moved to the city because we got old and had no sons to keep us on the farm we have to eat the junk that is sold in the stores. We raised all our own meat and it wasn’t laced with little white lines of fat throughout the flesh. We ate vegetables and fruit that was truly ripe before it was picked. You cannot have tree-ripened fruit or vegetables in a store because they are not able to be shipped. Really ripe fruit bruises too easily and the stores would not be able to sell it. Here, we can only buy Haas avocados because they ship the best. We never seem to get Zutano, or Fuerte or Bacons because they are a softer skinned avocado, yet to me Fuerte are the best eating avocado.
I have been thinking about this for a while. When you buy chicken breasts or thighs, or legs in a store they are much larger than any we ever grew or that I remember from my grandparents chicken yard. Maybe it is the growth hormones? The growth comes because of the additives the mills put in the chicken food. Probably cattle too. Range cattle go to a feed lot for six months before being butchered. The meat does not look like the meat we raised ourselves. Why are American’s unhealthy and fat? Because our government has allowed our food producers to medicate the food we can buy and I think that the medication takes a second journey into our own bodies.
