Why would you say it's debatable if you don't know what it is? Progressivism is another word for Fabian Socialism. The goal of Fabian Socialism is the same as Bolshevism - a one-world government Utopia where the wealth, power and responsibility is concentrated in the hands of a few moneyed and political elite - the difference is the method by which the goal is achieved. After all, the SS system wasn't designed to cover everything in old age...we had to be responsible and save for better retirement years. You know something we don't?) If things are temporarily pretty tight, you could apply for "supplemental" SS, you know. :-P
