Last Saturday, August 1, at 12:00 noon, a very special rally began at the west steps of the Capitol Building here in Sacramento, California. It wasn't a protest or a political rally. It was a prayer rally. Christians of all races and colors, all ages and various nationalities, all laying aside political differences, gathered together to pray for racial reconciliation, healing and to claim America, California and Sacramento for Jesus Christ. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! There was singing, preaching and praising God for two AWESOME HOURS!!! There had been some concern earlier in the week when word went out that there might be another protest with another possibility of more riots, so some of the staff members and a few of my neighbors moved their vehicles to West Sacramento on the advice of the local police. That same evening, there was a small gathering of peaceful protestors in Cesar Chavez Plaza, but NO RIOTS!!! Furthermore, RiteAid, our local drug store that was destroyed by rioters setting it on fire two months ago, may open well ahead of schedule. This, people, is a testimony of what prayer can do for individuals, families, communities, a whole nation! Prayer is indeed a very great power! Amen and amen!

Hi, Dolly. It's nice to hear people can still gather and behave like "grown-ups".
Every morning I ask God to keep His hand on my shoulder, and at night I thank Him for my day. To the doubter, which I once was, I recommend giving prayer a try. Start with "Hi, God", and go from there... He is a gentleman, and won't show up until He is invited.
Peace.

Thank you and I hope you're well. I'm not sure, but I think you're the one which I accidentally placed on my ignore list. If there's still a problem, just post a message here. I've got it bookmarked.

That's great news and on the capitol steps in Sacramento, the epicenter of Ca.! I'll be looking for signs to come. You should read about the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles, in 1906-1915. Led by a black man named William J. Seymour. I think Kanye West may start a new one in CA., he does have a home in L.A., post what you see happening in the meantime. Best wishes and prayers! Hope the Rite Aid opens ahead of schedule and your cars were protected.

I don't own a car myself, but the staff members and the one neighbor who owns a car said there was nothing to worry about after all.

Amen and amen.

By the way, everyone, the prayer rally at the State Capitol was sponsored by #praywithmesac. I don't know how to start a hashtag myself, but there may be instructions in Sacramento's hashtag. Right now, I believe that's what America needs more than anything else: lots and lots of prayers.

Well said Billy a, Amen!
And thank you again Dolly for bringing some good news!
I'm reminded of this Scripture:
"It is better to trust in The Lord, than to put confidence in men." Ps. 118:8
Regardless of who you support, God is the Ultimate Authority.
Update on the "K" St. RiteAid:
Besides the new windows, fresh paint and new flooring in RiteAid, the electricity has now been restored and the lights are on. Before long, there'll be new shelves and they'll be restocked. KEEP THOSE PRAYERS COMING, EVERYBODY!!! 🙏🙏🙏
