I really believe that all Federal politicians should use the VA for their health care....unless they decide to pay for something better from their OWN pocket.

This greedy old witch, she has been paid in full with all benefits, including medical and retirement, sick and vacation all paid for by the taxpayers.

She is not functional and unable to deliver the service she is paid for. She must retire.

But oh, the communist democrats grip that power until she stops breathing. But perhaps they will still resuscitate her to prevent president Trump from doing his jobs of nominating a replacement.

This is a travesty.

That she remains when not fully able, tells me she places partisanship above the court, which is unfortunate. But I hope she’s not experiencing too much pain.

Unfortunately, liver cancer is one of the more painful types of cancer..my cousin died from it, and she was almost comatose from all the pain meds she was on. That, as well of chemotherapy is enough to make anyone incapable of performing any job -- nevermind the job of a Supreme Court Justice! It is unfair to anyone who requires a fair hearing from the highest court in the country to have someone with these immense problems making decisions...about ANY case that is presented!

I'm not sure their health makes any difference. I don't know for sure, but I strongly suspect they are like the Senators and Congressmen. They have their staff do all the work, make all the decisions, write all the supporting documents, then they stand up and pronounce their deep and abiding convictions in the law they are trying to pass. In most cases, without even reading it, much less understanding it.
As long as they can sit upright and look somewhat like they are paying attention, that seems to be good enough for them. There are of course, exceptions, but only a few.

I could not agree more. It is an outrage that she remain on bench.

She is only 77. I was fully functional until my 80's. (As functional as I ever was.) I liked my job, but working as long as she is, is not mentally practical. You need to learn to smell the roses.

As with most things, it's not the age.....it's the mileage.
Whether you agree or disagree with her politics, her health has been a serious issue for many years. There should be a procedure in place to "forcefully" but respectfully retire any judge who can no longer fulfill his or her position. If there is one, I have not heard of it.

I've had it once and was pre cancerous later in another part of my body.
My uncle died of pancreatic cancer and we were told nobody survived that cancer.
