I recently joined a Wechat group that focuses on the discussion of racism and prejudice...

Last night spent a couple hours in discussion... Good conversations... No rudeness or ad hominem...

The discussion focused on the racism of low expectations... With a later part focusing on practical solutions to such things as university and business quotas...

There were basically two sides... With a mixture of nationalities and races on each side...

This morning I was removed from the group... The moderator stated that the discussion was outside the acceptable boundaries of the groups topic... (Racism should not be discussed in a group about racism???)

When I asked why only myself and two other (white males) were removed when there were over a dozen individuals involved in the discussion the moderator stated that removing POC would be racist... And that the two white women had been issued a warning...

When I pointed out that this action was pretty racist the moderator then stated that my views are not in line with the accepted views of the group...(But the POC who hold the same views get a pass because....)

This is exactly what is wrong with the world today... It's sad...

I would love to have been there, even as an old girl, and share some of what I’ve gleaned from reading the essays of people like Dr Thomas Sowell.
Way back in 1970, he wrote an excellent, well-thought column on how benevolent racism in academia, excluded excellent black students from opportunities for education and advancement. In essence, “they weren’t ghetto enough”. “They will find a way on their own.”
In essence, they shut the doors of the best universities, to the best and the brightest of black American youth. That was criminal.

True equality means not applying different standards to people, based on your preconceived notions of who needs your misbegotten intellectual “charity” most. The problem with much of the current progressive movement, is that they no longer look at themselves with a clear eye.

If you begin a sentence with "white people.........." you're racist. Beginning any conversation by segregating a specific group based on color or ethnicity, you're racist.

We just need to understand that we are ALL racist, whether we care to admit it or not.

My big issue is they lower the bar so black students can get into ivy league schools problem they are setting many up to fail because they are unable to keep up. The fact that they lower the scores for black students to me would be a slap in the face like saying your not smart enough so we'll give you a boost. Instead, help them where and when it counts when there in junior and high school as the saying goes help them to be all they can be early on. Fix the schools that are letting these students down get control of the violence IN THE SCHOOLS here in GA no tolerance for bad behavior is what I know we practice here
